Facundo Cabral, a wide-roving Argentine musician who had been one of Latin America’s most celebrated folk and protest singers, was shot to death July 9 in Guatemala City. He was 74.

Mr. Cabral, who had given a concert two days earlier in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, was en route to the Guatemala City airport when his vehicle was hit by a hail of bullets in an orchestrated attack involving three carloads of gunmen, the Associated Press reported.

I understand perfectly! My friend Juan’s father was named Juventino Aguilar, “Young Eagle.”

yes i am sure he did. But notice a more important point.

A thief isn't to blame for stealing it is society. Thus he had every moral right to cheat and steal in his mind because it is the society that is corrupt not him.

The most dangerous people are those that have "right on their side"

Oh, I undestand all that.

Just noting the double standard libs have -— regarding other people property (like, say, oil, which should be free) and their property (e.g., intellectual property — songs, movies, etc.)

I got into that with a folk singer one time who sang some crap about land needing to be given away.

I told him I was going to use his tune in a commerical jingle -— he started demanding money, etc, -— I responded -— it’s free, no?

Pretty funny.

Objects in mirror are closer than they appear.

Guatemala is fully involved now in cartel activity.

More deaths from interaction with cartels, than Mexico.

As Cracker put it in the song “Teen Angst”....’What the world needs now/Is another folk singer/Like I need a hole in my head.’
