Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell slammed Obama today on the senate floor, As long as this President is in the Oval Office, a real solution is unattainable. Business Insider reported:
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) offered his strongest criticism yet of President Barack Obamas leadership in the ongoing talks.
I have little question that as long as this President is in the Oval Office, a real solution is unattainable, he said on the Senate floor Tuesday. Adding, This was not an easy decision for me.
Obama, he said, has presented us with three choices: smoke and mirrors, tax hikes or default. Republicans choose none of the above.
McConnell added the Democratic budget plan would provide only a couple of billion dollars in cuts up front with empty promises of more to follow.
I had hoped to do good, but I refuse to do harm, he said.
Congressional leaders will return to the White House at 3:45 today to continue negotiations on reaching a deal.
Malignant narcissist..excellently defined.
There is no such thing. There are 50 state parties and thousands of organizations. Dozens of strands of thought and interests.
There ARE those who actually do the work though.
I think you equate “Establishment” with having had prior success in winning office.
Why bother to return to The White House? Why not go fishing, and then begin again tomorrow?
Mr. Mcconnell is correct.
...for those interested. :D
Lets' give Sen. McCONNELL a well-deserved hand
....as long as they (Mitch M. / John B.) stand strong.
GOP Women don’t get accused of racism, sexism, etc as much, which is why they can get away MORE easily with stating the obvious....not that some of these guys shouldn’t be saying the same and calling the press out for THEIR sexism and racism.
I agree that Treasury has the keys to the "default" event, but the disconnect between Congressionally directed spending and Congressionally directed debt limit is a Congressional doing.
I think it's pretty slick that Congress can cause the public to think or find that the president is in charge of spending; and I hope this does precipitate an Obameltdown. But eventually, if the deficit and deficit spending are to be cured, Congress has to cut back what it created.
Chillingly accurate.
Wow...McConnell growing some?? Maybe this is change that ObaMao can believe in.
...and its in writing / published, too.
I think They (John B / Mitch M. :) has found / grown
"some equipment"..which is a good thing
Wow, coming from Mitch McConnell, these are VERY harsh words. Wonder if something is coming down soon to put an end to the Kenyan usurper’s occupation of the white house...
Excellent work. Sad that its soooooo true!
Worst part? He is in the drivers seat , its done and most of America is still sleeping.
Hopefully we can recover from this islamic assault.
Thank you. Don’t you think Obama is already showing signs of cracking? Recall what Geitner said on Sunday: Obama is being too hard on himself. What on earth does that mean??? Obama is NOT going around acknowledging his mistakes; a Malignant Narcissist never takes the blame for ***anything***. So in what sense would an insider infer that Obama is being too hard on himself? [It’s like we’re back in the USSR, reading between the lines in Pravda. ;) ]
Odds are Obama is drinking. He has an extremely addictive dysfunctional personality; he’s made no secret of the fact that his past includes steady drinking and drug use—and he has NEVER spoken of a time when he gave self-medicating up—and then you have the bizarre statement about ‘peas’ coupled with the weird, deranged/demonic-looking pic Drudge posted to illustrate the peas harangue.
Add it all up, and we see a Malignant Narcissist who has never had to deal with stress or criticism coping very badly with his first heaping helpings of both. You can believe Obama is privy to internal polling that has him losing in ‘12 *unless* the economy turns around. As a blindly ideological Keynesian, Obama sees but one way out: raise the debt ceiling by 2.4 trillion, use it all for [misguided] ‘stimulus’, and then not revisit the issue till after Nov ‘12.
If only the GOP denies him what he wants, a meltdown is inevitable. Let’s pray they hold the line.
Well Mitch knocked that one out of the park. The GOP should just back off of negotiations and let if fall on Obama to come up with a deficit reduction package or just pass their own deal in the House and let the Dems in the Senate kill it and take the blame.
Maybe McConnell should have a local restaurant deliver an order of peas to obama.
Defeat 0bama for a real peas dividend.
