Something like this was to be expected from these RINOs.

That’s why Obama played that Social Security card. He knew... he knew he was going to win this all along.

I have been trying to warn everybody. I could see this coming since the Christmas Cave In. Then the fake repeal of Obummercare vote. And everything else. Time for a REAL Tea Party. The GOPS are the modern Whigs.

An automatic increase unless two-thirds vote to stop it, which the president (any president) would veto anyway?? What a stupid idea. Where do they come up with these hair-brained schemes. Of course I know, from the minds of moderate (just get us over this bump on the socialist road) republicans.

US Constitution: Congress shall have the power to borrow money.

After all this wrangling.... McConnell... once again... surrenders.

Maybe McCain and Graham tag-teamed on this to convince McConnell, you know, to assist the "process", as a way of reaching across the aisle...

“Consider the Associated Press’s headline right now: “GOP Leader McConnell proposes giving Obama new power for automatic debt limit increase”

It is just unbelievable to me.

Those people in the House better remember they are up for reelection in 2012.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday unveiled a “back-up plan” for raising the debt ceiling in case the ongoing negotiations between congressional leaders and the White House fail to produce a result by an Aug. 2 deadline.

Welcome back to (D) (D) (D) again in the beltway come 2012 if this is true.

What the he!! is wrong with these people???

This could be a trial balloon. I kind of doubt it’s true. Next, the House Republicans will never go for this.

I think we will find out this is just not true.

Until we get rid of Boner and McConnell, all the tea party elections in the world won’t change this disgraceful GOP leadership.

McConnell begged Bush to withdraw troops from Iraq in 2006 to take the political heat off, he literally cowered in fear during the last lame-duck session, and now this. Here we had Boehner standing tough... for once... and McConnell rips the rug out from under everyone. I am so damned sick of these repeated acts of ****ing cowardice.

McConnell is in the Senate and the Senate is not reliable even with a GOP majority
