What’s the point of bringing it directly to the floor thus requiring the 2/3 majority? I wonder if it will come up for a vote again under normal rules? Although it probably doesn’t matter as it’s DOA once it gets to the senate.

Will the mercury in those bulbs contaminate the garbage men, the landfill, the ground water? Anyone know?

The trash man is probably at a pretty low risk, but ultimately all the mercury in the CFL lamps that aren't properly recycled will end up in the earth, and hence the ground water, or to some extent in the air due to incineration of trash containing CFLs. In the long run we will probably regret ever introducing large numbers of them into the economy.

It was done that way because our dear leaders wanted that result. Wise up people, there is a political class, and there is us, the subjects.

We have been shown our place once again, we should learn to love it.

We can’t unban light bulbs without 2/3rds of the votes in Congress but the RINO’s want to empower Obama to raise the debt ceiling with 1/3rd of the vote.

It is insane.

The vote can be brought up again, with revisions to it.

I’m not sure what you’re talking about?

Boehner Bonehead can’t do two things correctly at once.

In fact, I am beginning to wonder if he can even do one thing correctly at once.

By putting this bill directly out on the floor for a vote rather than processing it through committee it needed a 2/3 vote. If he had moved it through committee a simple majority would have been enough.

The New World Order is tight with the Muslim Brotherhood. So is Mormonism. They are very similar. So that’s why Utah voted present.

If you don’t think light bulbs are part of the
Commie list of things to do I have no hope for you (generally).

Google Grinding down America and order the DVD after watching the trailer. Very serious must see for all Americans. The Environmentalists are subversive and this is why. Also:

This 6-minute video is from a retired US Army Lt. General and Green Beret. He provides vital information that has come as a result of decades in military service.

Watch this bone chilling video and then forward to everyone you know.

Mark Levin was talking about this and said it was Boehner’s fault. Had he brought it up through Committee, it would have only required a majority approval. Since he bypassed committee, it is considered a special vote and requires a 2/3 majority.

Yet another boner by Boehner.

If only Bush had not signed this in the first place and from what I understand this was put into an Energy bill by a Democrat and Bush signed it.

Just like he signed the campaign finance law.

How many vetoes in TWO YEARS did we get from W?

Did we see one iota of party leadership from him? Well, yes we did....when he tried to shove illegal amnesty up our butts.

Thanks for the "legacy", George.
