Not all Hasidics are like that. For a number of years, when I was a young woman working in NYC, I worked for Hasidic lawyers and their children. They were deeply kind to me although very demanding and hardworking. At lunch hour, they would gather together and pray.
I worked very hard for them and once I made a really bad mistake on a legal document. I can still remember the head of the firm standing over me saying: “Boy when you make a mistake, you really make a mistake!”
I loved working for them.
What does that have to do with their belief that Israel should not be it’s own state that belongs to the Jews?
They believe Israel cannot “be born” until the Messiah comes.
