No, I didn’t see it. I assume spending on GLBT programs was at the top...

Some funds for the Executive and Judicial branches are protected by the Constitution, and debt payments.

Payment is the first Wednesday after the 15th of the month for me and my husband. If the Wednesday falls on the 15th for us, the 15th is pay day. I don’t remember if it is determined by the alphabet (our initial), or your birthday. We both have the same initial and our birthdays are the 15th and the 16th.

Wow, that’s different. For me, electronic deposit is on the 3rd of the month. Unless the 3rd falls on a weekend or Holiday. Then it is on the Friday before but still in the same month. Like this month the 3rd was on Sunday, so I was paid on Friday the 1st.

Well, that's kind of different. I was told and do receive payment on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. I went through several months, and it works out the same as yours. My initial is G and my birthday is 17th, so I don't know what determines which day. You'd think mine would be sooner since G is the 7th letter of the alphabet, like batch on the 2nd Wed. It doesn't matter once the cycle starts and you get in sync with it.

Bottom line is I'm not receiving my ss on Aug 3 regardless of what happens lol. And neither are a lot of other people, no matter how this negotiating goes. If there is no disruption, I expect to receive mine Wed, Aug 17, my birthday this year.

They're not scaring me, doesn't work any more. I'm thankful for what I do get but I'll just work harder getting my supplemental income higher. There's not much incentive to get your supplemental income too high or they will tax all but 85% of your ss anyway. And that's not what you receive through auto dep but all your supplement ins premiums added to it for the year. To stay under the limit, you shouldn't have more than about $22,500 in supplemental income and not have to pay taxes on it. There's a calculation, it looks too tricky, but if you follow down the lines and do exactly what it says, you can figure it out yourself.

Since you're married, that part of it is probably similar but different thresholds for you plus you have the added option of filing jointly or married filing separately.
