Graham’s choice of words is not a mere linguistic tic owing to his choice of associates: it reflects the common assumption in Washington that all money belongs to the government, and only their favor allows you to keep whatever portion of it they deem necessary and desirable.

No, most can’t take health care deductions because of the 7.5 percent threshold of Line 33. And most can’t file long forms after they have paid off initial home mortgages.

Unless, Obama has his way...then both home ownership, and charities will fall by the wayside.
