Widespread immoral behavior always catches the innocent. And the innocent often turn a blind eye to the bad behavior, so are they truly innocent? Not under most codes of conduct. You know the cheating was discussed in the teachers’ lounge and staff meetings, even if obliquely.
Consider the source. The only people speaking in a court proceeding who are not under oath are . . attorneys. IN this case just another one who is paid to lie.

Let’s dub him SharkyPoo because of what he is and what he is spreading out with a shovel.
Here the teacher’s union’s lawyer, SharkyPoo demonstrates why the term “lawyer” is equivalent to “Liar For Hire”, as we find him doing his best to obfuscate the issue with legalese and bafflegab:
