Reid: Cantor should not be in debt limit talks

Reid says Cantor's conduct during the sensitive White House talks have shown, in Reid's words, "he shouldn't even be at the table." Reid says other congressional leaders are negotiating in good faith as an Aug. 2 deadline approaches for raising the debt limit.

You probably hit it on the head ~ Obama has a way of dealing with Jewish people that ought to have the crowd in New York and Connecticut up in arms.

The fact they're not screaming their heads off about this continuing pattern suggests they just don't get it.

I would like to see the Republicans demand to know what the extra money is for in the budget. End the talks. Period! We own the House for chrissake! Use it to advantage. Pass a long term deal with 100's of billions in necessary cuts then let the Senate and the WH figure out WTH to do with it!

There will be NO default and the only way SS checks don't go out is if obama tells the treasury not to release the funds. obama OWNS this mess...pass a bill nad make him tale possession!

We can't default and won't default. We take in 10 times our debt payment liability every month in tax revenue. TEN TIMES. The only way the US defaults is if obama and Geitner conspire to destroy our economy...but it would be so patently obvious they wouldn't dare.

Cantor should use Obama’s OWN WORDS against him: “Elections have consequences, WE WON. You are welcome to come along for the ride, but you’ll have to sit in the back of the bus...” As someone noted yesterday, this could cause Obama to be the first person to reach orbit without the aid of a rocket.

You are soooo right...Joe Scarborough was incredible (for once) on Morning Joe today. He did NOT let up...as all the libs around the table were jumping ugly on every Republican name that came up, Joe said: "Wait a minute...hold on here...[I'm paraphrasing]...name ONE piece of legislation the Democrats have put forth to address this deficit...NAME ONE!"

They sputtered and screamed but Joe won this one. The guy from Politico was the only one who meekly fessed up and said "None."
