Margin marks first statistically significant lead among registered voters

by Jeffrey M. Jones

PRINCETON, NJ -- Registered voters by a significant margin now say they are more likely to vote for the "Republican Party's candidate for president" than for President Barack Obama in the 2012 election, 47% to 39%. Preferences had been fairly evenly divided this year in this test of Obama's re-election prospects.

Wow..polls using “registered voters” always skew to the Dems. I would love to see how they weighted the parties...assuming that they did the usual oversampling of Dems and independents, this is really, really bad news for that idiot Obama

Stick a fork in him ... he's done. Hurry up and recognize original intent with regard to natural born citizenship so we can get his sorry butt out now and start fixing everything he and his socialist friends have been breaking.

A lot of people LIKE Obama. A lot of people WANT to vote for Obama.

But, if a trip to the grocery store gets any more traumatic, people will abandon Obama for someone actually capable of doing the job.

Pravda can spin all they want, Obama can lie like he always does, but even the dolts in America understand when a trip to the grocery store is up 50%.

What are you talking about?

You’re not still deluded into the fiction that they are going to raise taxes?

As for McConnell’s odd duck proposal, Boehner was asked about that at a morning presser, asked what he thought about it. He said he understood the idea as being an absolute last resort after everything else has been tried, so he wants it to just sit there on the table while we do other things.

That was a diplomatic answer, but clearly that’s not the way Boehner wants to go.

That would be the “likely voter” portion of the survey.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! This anti-Free-America who has no respect for those who sacrificed for Freedom (nobama) is a vampire who needs multiple stakes through his heart (figuratively, of course) in order to make sure he is gone January 2013.

Note that 50% of people do not pay any federal income taxes.
Note that 40 million are receiving food stamps.
Note that 17 million are receiving disability checks.
Note that there are federal rent subsidies, heat subsidies, free health services to Medicaid including dental care, free translators to those who can’t speak English, day care subsidies, and a gazillion other government aids.

All of the above are likely to favor Obama.

Attention GOP. If Hussien was “winning” the debt limit arguement, he would be ahead of a generic GOP candidate by at least 8%.

Stay the course and have Eric Cantor lead the negotiations.

Generic always beats a name.

The challenge is for us not to nominate a screw-up as the nominee.

I don’t think the Race Card / White Guilt is going to be nearly as big of a factor this time around.

There were those who, in 2008, voted for 0bama in order to assuage their White Guilt, and thought that all the racial strife would be resolved,

only to find out that it is worse than ever, and that they got RIPPED OFF for their vote.

Nice numbers but polls don’t mean anything until Oct ‘12.
