One or two bullets would be an inexpensive remedy to this ongoing situation.

I imagine the pet population is down too.

In one of their earlier famines this millennium, the story was that they
wiped out the cats, and the rat population exploded, spreading
disease, and competing for what little food there was as well.

Maybe all those Marxist university professors can explain why NK isn’t awash in prosperity? Then again, maybe not.

Oh yes, I think that if you could get accurate statistics
on suicides you would find that up too, but like
cannabilism those figures are probably tightly kept.

That one picture tells the story better than the article.

You can’t assume the aid we give them gets to starving poor people. It’d be the first time in the history of dictatorships if that actually happened.

They run cameras for some token poor people eating, then as soon as the filming is done, that food is going to the poltical top mucky mucks and their families and friends and the military. Like in every African dictatorship we’ve tried this in.

Starving and still they will not remove the man who is starving them.

Just across the border are jobs and work aplenty for cheap labor and these people would work for food, and yet they continue to keep this regime.

While we take corn to make fuel out of it these people starve. I have tomato’s roting in my garden because I cannot give them away fast enough to the neighbors.

There is food in fields all over America gleaners could send to Korea.Stores throw half rotten vegetables in their dumpsters that these people could eat, We waste more than enough to feed N Kora, but their regime would rather have nukes than feed their people. What a silly ,silly place N Korea is.

People don’t ‘have pets’ in the way Americans do. They ‘have animals’ and that means they may be viewed as pets but more often they double as a food reserve. Here we don’t eat pets, possibly unless you’re a farmer.

Hell, barbequeing Michale Moore and serving him to the starving over there could save about a thousand people’s lives for another day.

Perhaps they would blame the west. IF they didn’t have to spend most of their resources on their military, because we never let them take over south korea, they’d be able to be prosperous. All our yankee imperialist fault.

That is actually quite close to the argument lefties inside and outside S. Korea is parroting. The only difference is that they won't mention “take over south korea” part.

Then let them die. And decrease the surplus population.

Of all the things you’d think the UN would make itself useful by whining about...! This both inhumane and loose-cannon regime is to make any normal person sick.
