SALT LAKE CITY Former Utah Gov. Mike Leavitt, a top supporter and adviser of Republican White House hopeful Mitt Romney, strenuously backed the core piece of President Barack Obamas health-care law and urged the states to move forward together in adopting health insurance exchanges.
Speaking to a bipartisan group of governors at the National Governors Association, the former Republican governor who served as secretary of health and human services in the Bush administration, called the exchanges where individuals and small businesses can purchase health plans a very practical solution to a problem that needs to be solved.

Yea, we already knew that. Obama said his health care bill was based on RomneyCare.
Brings to mind many, many years ago when I was a kid at the baseball park and the crowd yelled:
“Throw ‘da bums out!”
(the problem of access to health insurance for individuals and small businesses will not disappear if a Republican president wins repeal.)
They keep switching the definition of the problem. They used the few million uninsured to push a one-size fits all scheme on EVERYONE.
(This is a profoundly important time for the states, said Mr. Leavitt. States need to lead.)
...this is right after he tells them to basically shut up and do what the federal government told them to do! I guess it all depends on what “lead” means...apparently it sometimes means “obey blindly”!

He was very States Rights when he was gov. of Utah. Just shows what a little time in the East will do.
Amazing that this political Ted Bundy is still in the news, much less a serious contender in the primary.
i’m not voting for rombot;
i don’t care if he’s the pubie nominee.
Are we surprised?
I am sure it is a shovel ready treatment!
I admit I know nothing about how the budget is managed, but if the government doesn’t have money to pay out Social Security, then how is the goverment going to pay for everyone’s healthcare?
In the absence of Sarah Palin, I see two political parties. The Republcrat Party, and the rest of us.
This is GREAT NEWS! 0bama may have a challenger in the primaries!
Obamacare is set in stone. Congratulations and do not get sick. You will be a drain on the collective.
The GOP loves Obamacare. Now all health care problems can be blamed on the Democrats.
Romney what smelly rascal....
Romney will lose if he gets the nomination. He doesn’t even have “the lesser of two evils” going for him by enough to matter. He won’t dismantle Obama’s Big Government, and he would make it harder for us to dismantle the excesses of these terrible years.
I will go to Prison first ... I am NOT going to do OBAMA CARE and I WILL NOT PAY the FINE ... nor will I accept an EXEMPTION.
TT
Just to be fair (not that Romney the Communist deserves it), I wonder just what position this “adviser” holds in Romney’s campaign.
