Federal Court Rules That TSA ‘Naked Scans’ Are Constitutional
Forbes ^ | July 15, 2011 12:13pm | Kashmir Hill

Posted on 07/17/2011 6:38:06 PM PDT by newzjunkey

Last weekend, a Tennessee woman was arrested at the Nashville airport for disorderly conduct after she refused TSA security measures for her children. The woman didn’t want her two children to have to go through a whole-body-imaging scanner. When a Transportation Security Administration officer told her the machines were safe, she said, “I still don’t want someone to see our bodies naked.”

She won’t be pleased with a ruling then out of the D.C. Circuit today. This morning, the federal court ruled that the “naked scans” of air travelers do not violate Americans’ constitutional rights. Privacy rights group EPIC had sued the Department of Homeland Security, alleging violations of innocent passengers’ Fourth Amendment right to be free of unreasonable searches. The court says that argument doesn’t fly...

“How can we trust them to NOT carry in a weapon and pass it to a terrorist? We can’t.”
They don’t need too. Anyone that looks like a real terrorist
is waved on through sometimes with the help of the TSA, FBI,
ICE,..etc.
This is just conditioning us for forced compliance.

I have been reflecting on things the past several days. We had to put my mom in a nursing home last week. My sister and I were going through mom’s stuff that belonged to my dad. My dad was a Navy WW II Veteran. I don’t think America’s Greatest Generation would have fought and died for the crap that is going on here today.

A terrorist driving a semi-tractor trailer rig could easily jump a curb and take out a full line full of travelers on Thanksgiving weekend or Christmas week. This just isn’t hard. If you gave me a day, I could come up with at least 100 different ways to kill 20 to 50 people in one incident. It’s simple.

Shoot a school bus driver from an adjacent car, on a mountain road, bus goes over a cliff. Ditto a gambling express, similar mountain road, same result. It is too easy to think this stuff up. Drive a big rig into an elementary school or high school building. Or public library.

I can do this all day.

You can’t stop terrorism. It can’t be done. All you can do is strike back so hard at those who fund the terrorists that it isn’t worth it to them to keep the terrorist after you. Make them fear you so they aim for some other weak sap, not you.

Look it. This is just a stupid attempt to distroy the
airline industry so it can be easily taken over and
nationalized by the government. When all we have left is
our cars you wont be able to afford the gas and with the
smart grid coming, you wont be allowed to charge your car.

I’ve know for some time that we were heading toward socialist totalitarian tyranny, which requires a police state to control. My mistake was thinking we were creeping toward it by incrementalism. Little did I know Baby Bush leaped us toward it with his creation of TSA and Homeland Security.

At 52 years old, I feared that the next generation would be oppressed and was sad for them. Now I fear I will be oppressed by the police state. This has come far faster than I would ever have thought.

Obama has been insanely successful in carrying out Soros’s marching orders, moving us toward totalitarian tyranny. We fight back, but all of those welfare voters and liberal soccer moms who want freebies in exchange for their freedom, are too big in number for us to overcome.

I do pray that the taxpaying portion of the liberal asswipe crowd wake up and vote their pocketbooks to lower taxes and shrink government, but I’m not optimistic. I have former friends who are liberal assipes who I maintain contact with a bit and they are die-hard in their zeal to raise taxes and grow government in every conceivable way.

They get insulted if I say they support socialism because t hey don’t think they do, but they never saw a tax increase they didn’t like or a government agency they didn’t like. I have no clue how to get these 2-income worker/taxpayers on our side. We could win back the nation if we could get them back, but they join in with the illegals, the minorities and the welfare voters, and together they keep voting us into entitlement totalitarian bondage.

The police state is here. We’ll fight it. I pray we win, but there is a huge portion of people who have no problem with it whatsoever. They are our enemy. We can’t beat the government, the libtard schools, the treasonous media AND these liberal taxpayers. They simply outnumber us. We have to peal one or two of these off the government teat and toward smaller government, or we are doomed.

East Germany, indeed. It is coming. It is coming fast.

You mean Soros, right? Obama is nothing but his butt boy. Soros is the puppet master.

Who is behind Soros? That is what I would like to know.

“the fundamental right to travel”

And, BTW, the SC has recognized this in a case in which it struck down residency requirements for welfare, saying that such requirements burdened the right to travel.

First, you can see their point right? We are coming close to an outright police state. You as an individual are important to us. We would hate to see you suffer. You as a pawn are just that if it means ending the TSA and reversing the police state. It isn’t personal.

That said, I’ve read down the thread and some people are just being jackasses by insulting you and telling you to quit your job out of principal. Yes, this during the only US economic depression since 1939. As if you don’t have mouths to feed at home. If you have a job today, you would be a moron to walk away from any job security you have.

You are just a pawn. It is not like you are the one causing TSA to strip search Grandma Smith and baby Jones.

I’m assuming you are not a TSA employee in your airline related job. If you are, then I would have nothing but severe condemnation for you and your job. Assuming you are a baggage handler or flight crew or counter crew, I think your detractors here are being embarrassingly immature to tell you to quit your job in depression. They are flat nuts.

I forgot to add, you are in the cross hairs, however. I would encourage people to boycott airlines and not fly so they take high enough losses to join us in the fight against the TSA. If that were to happen, you might be out of a job temporarily, which is why I called you a pawn. That would suck but it would be worth it to many of us here if it achieved scaling back the TSA and the police state. It’s not personal. It is just that you have the bad luck of being directly in the cross hairs right now.

Good luck. I hope you don’t lose your job, but I hope the airlines do suffer horrific losses long enough to band together against the Federal government and demand TSA be removed and they go back to their own private screening procedures.

No offense intended. You are just a pawn.

We have to reverse the police state or what your great grandkids will be subjected to in the future will make your losing a job in an economic depression look like child’s play. They are REALLY going to suffer if we keep down this path. They will lose most of their freedom, have work ceaselessly to pay for the huge number of non-working bums and welfare queens, and on top of that, they could wind up in jail for any reason, or being physically hurt by the government.

If we don’t turn this police state nonsense around, your great grandchildren will suffer in ways you can’t even begin to imagine or stomach.

“Little did I know Baby Bush leaped us toward it with his creation of TSA and Homeland Security.”
Do you think it ever occurred to ol “W” that his predecessor
would turn out to be a pinco commie libtard hell bent on the
destruction of our country. Sometimes I think that right
there at the end of his administration he did. And helped.
Though I could be wrong.

Here is the thing. Do you think our Federal Senators and Congressmen ever get scanned or patted? No. No they don’t. So they don’t care. Maybe if every Senator and Congressmen had his mother’s depends checked or his daughter’s breasts felt up, they might be a little more sensitive to our plight. They don’t have to follow the laws they pass, so they don’t care.

TSA, obama’s new domestic enforcement leg. Makes you wonder where hitler found all of the people to staff the gestapo and ss. Think these people won’t turn on you in a hot second? Think again. Crackpots attract other crackpots.
