A New York man was beaten and robbed on a subway train yesterday by four men who he claims picked on him because he is white.
Jason Fordell, 29, of Brooklyn, was on his way home at 5am from an East Village nightclub, where he sells hand-designed leather accessories, when he was affronted by a gang of black men.
Police said four young men began harassing him and then another passenger joined in the spontaneous attack.
Mr Fordell said: 'Everyone on the train was egging them on.
'People started saying stupid little comments - cracker this, white boy this, f*** this.'
He told the New York Daily News: 'I told them the only reason they were saying this is there was four of them and one of me.
'I'm a small little white kid with long hair. They got guys three times my size threatening me.
He added: 'I was in a headlock, punched and kicked on the floor.

They’re neutrals, yes, and have no particular “color” as an artist would view the matter.
We were just speaking technically regarding color spectrum. Luminant color would have black be the absence of color and white the totality of it; think of all the little red, green and blue pixels on your monitor all firing at once to make bright white.
Conversely, in printing, you have cyan, magenta and yellow, which in theory combined fully represent the totality of color, ie black, and the absence of it would be white.
In reality, the three process colors need a boost with black ink due to limitations in the process and in the inks themselves, so you get CMYK or four color process printing. There’s hexachrome printing also, with six colors, for high budget printed catalogs, table books and such. Much richer color, with two more inks added to fill in weaker areas of color gamut with CMYK.
Oh, they don’t call it “Flesh” anymore...now it’s “Peach.”
