One Obama Presser, 36 Obama Lies and Deceptions
American Thinker ^ | 7/19/11 | Christopher Chantrill

President Obama is evidently feeling the pressure from the current shenanigans over a routine hike in the debt ceiling. But really, what president does not have to push through congressional attempts to embarrass him at debt-ceiling time? Man up, Mr. President. If you can 't take the heat, keep out of the kitchen, said Harry Truman, a product, like the president, of an all-American big-city machine.

Problems, said the Bard, come not single spies, but in whole battalions, and the president's real problem is the onrushing Four Horsemen of the Democalypse.

There is the shambles in the black community. Walter Russell Mead is warning of an Obamageddon in the inner cities. Yes, Obama's election was certainly a "giant step forward for American racial politics," but:

The future, however, may remember this administration as a giant step back for Black America during a period of deepening alienation, anger and despair in America's inner cities.

By 2009, the median net worth for white households had fallen 24 percent to $97,860. For black households, it had plummeted 83 percent to $2,170, a near wipeout.

The problem for the black community is not just jobs, but a triple-threat of "vanishing jobs, shrinking government budgets and a fractured and fragmented leadership." Meanwhile Pat Buchanan retails the numbers on household net worth.

democrats have grown comfortable that there’s no longer an occasional moment where someone in the media may call them on one of their lies.

A snippet from the article "One Obama Presser, 36 Obama Lies and Deceptions" by Charlie P Brannan:

"Obama held a press conference last Friday, July 15 which turned out to be a purely partisan effort to increase taxes and increase the American debt. His speech and the answers he gave to cherry picked questions from the press was fundamentally dishonest: in all I counted three dozen lies, deceptions and misleading statements.

Deception 1. "make sure that the United States does not default on our obligations, and that the full faith and credit of the United States is preserved."

There is zero risk of a default to the creditors of US debt. The federal government takes in about $170 billion each month in revenues, but pays less than $29 billion each month in interest on the debt. The Bipartisan Policy Center has laid out a plan where the Treasury could pay: all debt interest, all Social Security obligations, all Medicare and Medicaid obligations, all Defense contractor bills, all Veterans payments, all active duty troops; and still have almost $7 billion left over every month for other items.

Obama is using pure political scare tactics to deceive uneducated voters into supporting his position. There is no risk to "the full faith and credit of the United States" unless Treasury chooses to default. Not raising the debt limit will cause a limited government shutdown, not a default, as Obama insinuates. ..."

same old dem ignorance poverty has nothing to do with race but with behavior, top ways to not be poor:

Stay in School.
Simply completing high school greatly increases a person’s chances of not being poor. The Census Bureau reports that:

Only 9.6 percent of high school graduates are poor, compared to 22.2 percent of those without a diploma.
Of those people who complete some college, only 6.6 percent fall below the poverty line.
This drops to 3.3 percent of those with a bachelor’s degree or higher.

Get a Job.
Despite concerns about the working poor, most people who work full time, even at minimum wage jobs, avoid poverty:

Only 2.6 percent of people 16 years or older with full time jobs are poor, according to Census data.
By contrast, 11.4 percent of part-time workers fall under the poverty line, and 20.8 percent of those who do not work fall below the poverty line.

Get Married.
Marriage is also a strong deterrent to poverty.
Only 4.0 percent of married couples without children are in poverty, according to Census data.
In contrast, the poverty rate for singles without children is 8.6 percent

Don’t Have Children Out of Wedlock.
Having children outside of marriage is costly for both the individual and the child. The Census Bureau reports:

Of those households with two or more children under the age of 18, 7.9 percent of married households were poor, while 51.6 percent of never-married households were poor.
Of those households with two or more children under the age of 6, 11.5 percent of married households were poor, while 62.4 percent of never-married households were poor.

....another interesting statistic is 32% of welfare distributed is to California. So you might want to consider how many are from south of the border who have latched onto the welfare system and play it big.
