Jury Selected for Trial in Soldier Death
Updated: Tuesday, 19 Jul 2011, 1:49 PM CDT
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - It's possible that opening statements could be delivered as early as Tuesday afternoon at the trial of a man accused of killing a soldier outside a military recruiting station in Arkansas. As of midday, 11 jurors had been picked for the trial of 26-year-old Abdulhakim Muhammad.
Muhammad was charged with capital murder after the 2009 shooting death of Pvt. William Andrew Long in a west Little Rock shopping center. Muhammad has admitted killing the soldier, calling it justifiable revenge for U.S. military action in the Middle East.
Defense attorneys have told potential jurors there is no disputing that Muhammad shot the soldiers, but they say he's mentally ill.

Security Tight for Muhammad Trial
All deputies carry a pistol, shotgun, taser, and a select few also carry an AR 15 patrol rifle.
Muhammad is asking Allah if he can move the trial to Pinellas Co....
No, Mohammed, you can’t move the trial to Iran.
Hang him.
Hang him with a pig skin rope.
I wish I were on that jury.
Strange how so many murderers claim they are “mentally ill”.
Remember the Little Rock woman newscaster raped and murdered by one of these a few years ago? Her attacker claimed the same thing and got life in prison when he should have been sentenced to death.
After O.J. and the Caley Anthony fiasco,
Do we have ANY confidence in these goober prosecutors?
Remember,
Those that can do
Those that can’t teach
And those who can’t do or teach work for the gub mint
Any wonder these fools LOSE?
