TruePosition, announced Release 4.0 the TruePosition Location Intelligence Management System (LIMS).
TruePosition LIMS is a multi-dimensional database that uses probes within mobile networks to capture and store all mobile phone network events including the time and the location of events. Mobile phone events are items like calls made and received, text messages sent and received, a phone powered on and off, and other rich mobile phone intelligence.
TruePosition LIMS provides a user interface for data mining and analysis of mobile phone intelligence, real-time tracking and surveillance, and geo-fencing capabilities.
TruePosition LIMS enables government agencies to leverage mobile phone intelligence in order to fight crime and counter terror.
TruePosition LIMS gathers mobile phone intelligence from wireless networks for both historical analysis and real-time surveillance. This data enables users to query and analyze historical data, identify mobile phones of interest, and build intricate geoprofiles of criminals and terrorists.
TruePosition LIMS also enables geofencing of sensitive areas such as borders, critical infrastructure, or special events and can be customized with user-specified alerts to make government agencies aware of unusual or suspicious behavior.
At the core is a location technology called TruePosition Uplink Time Difference of Arrival (U-TDOA). TruePosition U-TDOA is uniquely suited for mission-critical location-based security applications, since it can locate any phone in any environment with high accuracy and reliability.

"all mobile phone network events"
BTW, coming to a cell phone near you...geofencing. An electronic border could be created around any location, say a Target store. You get close enough and your cell phone gets pinged with coupons.
"any phone in any environment"
You can run but ya can't hide anymore. What a convenience to us all and what a sweet way to acquire, say, target quality intel... See ya downrange.
ping!

WTF??? ‘Multi-dimensional’??? Someone needs to dial down the hype just a bit.
I had to look that one up:
A geo-fence is a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographic area.
A geo-fence could be dynamically generatedas in a radius around a store or point location. Or a geo-fence can be a predefined set of boundaries, like school attendance zones or neighborhood boundaries. Custom-digitized geofences are also in use.
When the location-aware device of a location-based service (LBS) user enters or exits a geo-fence, the device receives a generated notification. This notification might contain information about the location of the device. The geofence notice might be sent to a mobile telephone or an email account.
Geofencing, used with child location services, can notify parents when a child leaves a designated area.[1]
Geofencing is a critical element to telematics hardware and software. It allows users of the system to draw zones around places of work, customers sites and secure areas. These geo-fences when crossed by an equipped vehicle or person can trigger a warning to the user or operator via SMS or Email. In extreme circumstances, the zones can be linked to immobilisation equipment within a vehicle and stop the engine dead.
Other applications include sending an alert if a vehicle is stolen[2] and notifying rangers when wildlife stray into farmland.[3]
Geofencing in a security strategy model provides security to wireless local area networks. This is done by using predefined borders, e.g., an office space with borders established by positioning technology attached to a specially programmed server. The office space becomes an authorized location for designated users and wireless mobile devices.[4]
And there's the money shot...

Totally awesome technology Gandalftb.
Of course, anything used for good can be used for evil in the wrong hands.
My take... nothing is private.
Whenever I leave home to rob a bank or whatnot, I make sure I leave my phone behind.

Whoops, and thanks! :’)
