Would Michele Bachmann be a submissive president? (Here it comes!)
The Washington Post ^ | July 20, 2011 | Ruth Marcus

Posted on 07/20/2011 12:33:06 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

I didn’t want to write a column about Michele Bachmann, but my husband told me to.

Naturally, I listened.

Not! Poor man, he can hardly get me to pick up the dry cleaning.

Apparently, things are different Chez Bachmann. Running for Congress in 2006, the Minnesota Republican explained her decision to specialize in tax law.

She’d never taken a tax course in law school, Bachmann told the Living Word Christian Center, but her husband decided she should pursue an advanced degree in the subject.

“Tax law! I hate taxes! Why should I go and do something like that?” Bachmann recalled thinking. “But the Lord said, ‘Be submissive. Wives, you are to be submissive to your husbands.’ ”

Welcome to the ever-evolving world of gender politics, evangelical edition. Someday, perhaps, after the first few female presidents have served their second terms, the country will have worked its way through the thickly seeded minefield of gender and politics: Will she be strong enough? What to call the first husband? Is it safe to talk about her clothes? Until then, every succeeding election, I suspect, will present its own set of gender-related wrinkles.....

A woman who got where she is on her husband's coattails is good (Hillary) but two women who clawed their way to the top are bad (Sarah and Michele) is that it, Ruth?

Hugh Hewitt summed it all up on his show last night.
The all-out Liberal assault to destroy Michele Bachmann has begun.

And she’s not defending herself because Ed Rollins will no longer let her do talk shows.

And I supposed the writer supports the country’s first “president without b*lls?”

Face it, libs, your guy is beyond stupid.

In the fighter world, we refer to his type as a limp d*ck.

Funny, the MSM has already labeled him with the second half of that.....

Heh!

I predict the Ed Rollins pick was the beginning of the end, no matter what some polls look like right now. If Gov. Sarah Palin with her executive experience (which a congresswoman doesn’t have) gets in, that’ll be the final nail.

I guess one might suggest the female Black Widow and scorpions are submissive. At first....

Actually, tax law is a great suggestion for a woman who wants a family. The work and hours are much more regular than other specialties and there is less stress.

I don't mean to say it is less challenging. You have to be pretty smart to be a tax lawyer.

But you won't hear that from the MSM in their relentless effort to destroy her.

Yep, the current _resident is about as submissive as they come. In fact, his belief system (Islam) actually MEANS “submission”.

This was demonstrated by his bowing to every foreign leader in the world.

Lets look at the positive side. At least they have to pose this as a question about the female candidates.

All the male candidates submitted like 2 cent whores a long while back.

Notice how all these stories are being written in the form of a question?

This is psyops, intended to plant the seed of doubt in people's minds rather than report on anything factual.

Any submissiveness portrayed by Michele Bakcmann would not be apparent in comparison to our current pResident’s submissiveness to soros and the new wold order.

That’s probably the only column in that woman’s career I agree with. But I don’t think Bachmann will have staying power in the race, so I don’t think it really matters.

Ruth Marcus. Doing the job of attacking a female politicians that the effeminate, girlymen down at the DNC are afraid to do. I wonder if these female and minority “media” toadies ever tire of being used as fool tools by the DNC white boys.

I imagine Ruth's "husband" is a hen-pecked wimp who does all the household chores while his wife sits on her butt and writes feminist claptrap.

Our next president needs to be a leader with a firm foot, one that can effectively bridge together both the left and right in a productive way and speak openly about the dire status of our country. MB does not carry these traits nor do must others running.

Alan West please step forward

Several on this board tried to point out that in addition to a thin resume, Mrs. Bachmann had a personal narrative that would be easily exploited by the MSM. Her defenders took these observations personally, but here it is.
