Libyan ruler Muammar al-Qaddafi's troops have boobytrapped petroleum installations in the strategic oil port of Brega so they can be blown up if his regime loses the town, a top rebel official said Thursday.
Mahmoud Jibril, the rebels' diplomatic chief, also said Qaddafi's forces have boobytrapped oil fields. He did not state which fields. While Brega is a key oil processing and shipment hub, the fields that feed it lie far to the south in the Libyan desert.

Mohammar Qaddafi is playing to win, and as this war is about oil and gold, boobie trapped oil fields and facilities are proof he is winning.
This sounds like someone is amazed that Quadday would do this.

That’s EASY to deal with. You have his henchmen clear the oilfields when its over.
The most IMPORTANT thing about the Libyan situation is the oil.
If Obama were SERIOUS about helping the economy, he would have stayed OUT of it, or done everything possible to help one or the other side win - FAST. That would have assured the flow of more oil into the market.
But I am convinced Obama WANTS our economy to collapse. THAT is HIS and SOROS’ goal so they can institute a new socialist world order.

Dear Leader said this was a humanitarian mission not Gaddafi. So when his forces bomb civilians they show themselves to be the hypocritical liars we all said they were when this began.
US forces are not "his," they are yours and they are mine.
Of course humanitarian justifications for war are bogus, that's why those who dislike the rebels shouldn't worry, we are not going to war to "save" anybody, we go to war to kill, not to save.
