They're dissing the Gang of Six's plan .. and Sen. Coburn is on tape supporting this plan. DeMint, Walsh and Lee are standing strong, it appears. We shall see. I hate that they couldn't have ALL been behind ONE plan instead of splitting on different plans and confusing and confounding everybody.

Here is the chance for Obama to be taken down.
Get those democrats on board who are going to lose their seats in 2012. Force Obama to veto the bill.
The media will call him courageous. The American people will wonder why he doesn’t want a balanced budget.
First off .. anything that Sen. DeMint backs .. holds great credibility with me. Lee is spectacularly articulate, and he’s a freshman.
But wHOA ..!! I’m VERY impressed with Rep. Raul Labrador @ 41:58 mark.. clear, concise factual info and blasting the press right there for not telling the American people the truth.
Cut, Cap and Balance is the ONLY drafted plan .. it is written. The others are NOT even reduced to legislation .. and the deceiver in chief and phantom resident has not even yet committed in public to ANY cuts .. it’s all spin and talking points.

I hope you will take the time and *urge* you all to listen to Sen. Tom Coburn’s gut level speech on the floor of the Senate today about our financial mess and Cut, Cap and Balance.
I think it’s truly a landmark speech. He’s graphically prophesizing what he expects to see with his colleagues, their coming vote on the debt ceiling, and their lack of accountability and courage, cowardice and character. He’s pleading for courage. God bless him. I hope his words ring loudly and eternally in the ears of the despicable, wimpy dems.

Thanks for posting this speech. I watched the whole thing. His approach is very strict and very common-sense.

Thank you so much for the links. I actually caught Coburn last night and watched the whole thing. It was a remarkable speech and left me wondering why he ever got involved in the various ‘gangs’ in the first place. His research ‘Back in the Black’ sounds like a must read. At least he and his staff made an honest attempt to get their heads around this whole mess. That’s more than we can say for most of the congresscritters in foggy bottom. Going to watch the first links you put up with my mornin coffee.

Coburn was prophetic .. and hard not to be with the cowards on the other side who, of course, used procedural rules to keep Cut, Cap and Balance from even being considered. There’s a hot, hot place awaiting sometime ....
