In an eye-poppingly nasty and derranged press conference, Obama ordered Boehner and McConnell to appear before His Majesty tomorrow morning (7/23) at 1100 (that's 11:00, military time). The conference was called by The One to express his displeasure with the Repubs because they refuse to accept almost $2 trillion in new spending in order for the debt ceiling to be raised "until 2013" so Obama doesn't have to deal with that issue as he runs for reelection.
Stay tuned.
I am calling Boehner's office to urge him to stay home tomorrow. Remember Obama's private army "to be as well trained and equipped as the US Army" but reporting to him as his praetorian guard? Maybe he'll send them to round-up Republicans.

Yep, the King has ordered his subjects to attend his meeting. Maybe he should be told that the Speaker is a citizen of the U.S. and can’t be ordered around by a King.

They shouldn’t go. Barry will blow a gasket and go on TV to have a tantrum. Why bother to do anything he asks even if he doesn’t blow a gasket? All he’s doing is trying to ride in on a chariot at the last minute and tell the mere mortals what they have to do and no matter what sort of concession he might make at this point, it’ll be portrayed as Barry saving the country.
Just don’t go. Tell him that the Senate left town and there’s no reason to show up until they’re back.

I’m wondering how fast protests across the United States could be organized? WE all can’t fly to DC, but if millions show up at the local offices across this great nation at 1100 hours...to support our country?

The king summoning his ministers is an un-American image. But the president is playing a role in a drama he’s scripted and the moral of the play is designed to make the Democrats seem to be the voices of reason on election day in 2012.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives is a Constitutionally mandated position, and the Speaker is 3rd in line (counting the current occupant) to the presidency.
The Speaker has always been seen as the head of the body that is most responsive to and most in touch with the people of the US. It is the House that is the sole originator of any bills for raising revenue.
The Speaker’s position is every bit as separate and significant as the President’s, and the Speaker is NOT in any way at all answerable to the President, who is Commander and Chief ONLY of the military.
The Speaker should not respond to an imperial-sounding summons or order ever! That is not the type of government we have.
Additionally, I’d like to see Boehner start calling as many press conferences with preliminary speech stating positions as does Obama. Even if only from the floor of the House, it will be, at least, carried on C-Span. Hopefully, Fox will cover it.

It is time for Boehner to come in Saturday morning with Articles of Impeachment.
What Boehner and Mitchell should do is tell barry that they have plans for tomorrow, don’t say what and then.... wait for it... go play golf together at “obastard’s” own course and have a HUGE entourage with them. Hire camp followers if they have to. Laugh it up, smoke cigars and have a few drinks.
Oh yes, make sure they are on the back 9 at 1100 hrs.
Stand Obama up and start cutting big time in the trillions.

He doesn’t HAVE a budget! He has a goodies list that he wants delivered to him, with NO specifics as to how they will be paid for; not to mention the absence of ANY leadership on attacking the deficit!
