KENT -- At least 11 people were injured in a mass shooting Saturday afternoon that may have started with an argument over a paint job at a low-rider car show off Pacific Highway.

I was actually thinking of posting a Vanity Thread with the title "Baynative Wants to Know 'Who in the world plans a nice day in the sun and packs their guns on the way out the door?'" and then asking everyone who packs their guns on the way out the door to ping you to the thread. OK, I wasn't really thinking of posting the thread, but I DID think it was kind of a funny idea. If you really want an answer to the question though, a vanity thread with that title would probably generate a bunch of replies from pistol-packing FReepers.

It's kind of funny. My wife did not like the idea of my getting my CHL or packing my pistol when we go out. The first several times I carried, she had no idea I was carrying (there's a reason it's called "Conceal Carry"). Her argument is always "in all these years you have never needed to have a gun when we've gone anywhere" and of course my response is "yes, but whenever the first time comes along that I NEED a gun, I would prefer that I have it with me."
