I know that the State can establish marriages, but it seems under the eyes of any Christian church that holds to its received faith, this marriage is invalid automatically. What does one do?

This is just obscene. I’m 52, married to a MAN. I have 8 grandkids. How sick are these women. God Help Our Country. We need a God intervention.
Two middle-aged woman pretending they’re ‘married’ while everyone goes along with the farce is pathetic. The left knows full well that two guys smooching each other is repulsive to most sane humans so they put middle age females out front to soften the image of ‘same-sex marriage’ The never-ending effort by homosexual advocacy groups to normalize sexual perversion that was once recognized by mental health professionals as (and continues to be, recognized or not) a form of mental illness is gaining ground and nothing good will come of it. STDs are already climbing at a rapid rate within the homosexual ‘population’. Homosexual men account for nearly half of the more than one million people living with HIV in the U.S. (48%, or an estimated 532,000 persons). State legislatures sanctioning ‘same-sex marriage’ are bowing to special-interest group pressure and a misguided sense of ‘fairness’ and a desire for ‘equality’ demanded by ‘gay’ groups. Marrying ‘gay’ grandmas aside, this will not end well.

I recall a joke I heard one time - the definition of gross - when you are kissing your grandmother and she slips you the tongue.
However, this story gives a more appropriate definition, and still involves grandmothers!

Words fail.
We formerly had a culture in which marriage was very important and to live together was disgraceful and looked down upon. THEN the “edgy” people got all bent out of shape about the mainstream culture being old-fashioned and uptight and marriage was declared to be “just a piece of paper” after all. THEN getting married became oh so very important and the most meaningful thing that people can do. It can get confusing.
It seems to me that what really matters to these people on the left is just to go against whatever is considered acceptable so that they can capitalize on it and get a lot of attention. If we had said, “Yeah, marriage means little nowadays, so go for it” they probably would have just dropped it as too banal and not causing enough trouble. They will never ever stop pushing the boundaries. They will just move on to the next demand.
