After a seven-hour standoff Monday, the San Antonio SWAT team entered a house in the 100 block of Harvard Street, on the near West Side, to find it empty.
After witnesses told police that a man had barricaded himself in the house after a disturbance there and that he was armed and appeared intoxicated, police closed nearby streets in the University Park neighborhood.
A woman who was in the house was assaulted by the man but got out safely, police said. Several calls for family disturbances had been recorded at that address, police said.
The man, later identified as Franklin Longoria, 31, apparently left between the time police received the call and when the SWAT team entered the house around 7:30 p.m., according to San Antonio police spokesman Matt Porter.
Longoria has an active family violence warrant for choking, Porter said.
I at least hope they were able to shoot the family dog while they were there.
“I dunno, sarge. It’s like he doesn’t wanna talk or nuthin’! No answers, even when I shout in to him!”
While I opened this thread thinking it was "The House...", I was certainly disappointed it wasn't "The Whitehouse..."
Meanwhile, 7 banks were robbed in other parts of the city.
Now they’re waiting for him to come home.
Did the place have a phone? Matrix.
SWAT busts down the wrong door.
