When USAA expanded their coverage to include enlisted, they had a huge expansion of members.

Now with their expansion to every Tom, Dick and Harry...nothing special...just like any other insurance company...although when I call them and give them my 6 digit member number they do in fact change their attitudes....and thank me...I had a hail claim not long ago and some punk out of their Orlando office, although not rude was being a jackass...I called the San Antonio office the next day and got that straightened out quickly. I didn't mind when they expanded to Senior NCO's...thought that was a good move...but this latest I see no reason for....will drive up the costs for everyone as their losses have to be greater with insuring a bunch of younger drivers....Frankly all the money I have paid in over the years....seems like they ought to give it to us original members free once we hit the 40 year mark...

All insurance I have is through USAA and they have been terrific. Never an issue with a claim. Never even asked for second opinions on estimates. They pay the claims directly. No local agents to screw with. Rebate checks every year. And now this ... what a great company. I might be the only guy in the country happy with his insurer.

It appears everybody with USAA is in the same happy boat. I have been with them for almost 47 years and could not be happier. They are a terrific company, perhaps the best in the country in any field!

I feel the same way at times. Some of the newer members sign up and have big claims within a few months. We also had a hail storm with baseball hail a couple of years ago, and the USAA agent contacted us without us asking.

The only problem I have had with USAA is that when they stopped insuring RVs, they partnered with Progressive.

Why they did that, I do not know!
