I think the greatest weapon is ensuring teenagers see many images of fetal development.

The more they are exposed to the scientific and visual truth - the less likely they will fall victim to Planned Parenthood lies.

That is, of course, if these same young people are also being taught that harming “anyone” is bad.
Many kids are being raised in value-less households today.

You are exactly correct. Look at the lives that have been taken through abortion. Why stop there? Every single time we turn around there is a child missing who eventually ends up dead after being sexually assaulted by some low life pervert. When that happens that pervert should be put away for the rest of his natural life. He should NEVER see the light of day. EVER. The child he abused and murdered won’t ever see it...why should he/she?

Then we turn on the news and there is a young woman missing. Went to the store or was jogging or whatever and then she is gone. Missing for weeks... longer even and then she turns up DEAD. Most times again...sexually assaulted. A lot of times these perverts have served some time for their crimes and then have been released. I am so sick and tired of it. So, I ask: “Why would ANYONE have any problem with abortion? It DOES what it is intended to do. KILL/MURDER an unborn child of God.

By allowing so many things to be (in the name of people’s rights) this country is not headed to but already at the entrance of the sewer. Killing unborn babies, young women and children is the devil’s worksheet. Look at that poor child who was walking home and got turned around. He asked someone for directions and look how he ended up. My heart broke for that little boy and his family. People are at their wits end. This has all got to stop.

Thank you for your brave admission. I, too, was in your same spot and you are correct, those around us who are pressing us to submit have everything BUT ours, or our child's, benefit in mind. We, and millions of other women AND men are shining examples of our great God's mercy, love and forgiveness. We are proof that what Satan meant for evil, God meant for good. Only he is able to turn such despair and grief into power to make things right. We are the voices of our lost children now and we MUST be the ones who join together to end this unspeakable evil in our land. God bless you.

Thank you so much, dear mlizzy, for speaking out for us post-abortion women. I really believe that, until we speak up and let it be known that even “good” people have been deeply harmed by an abortion decision, the issue will continue to be marginalized and stigmatized.

I know many people who are stalwart abortion opponents and they are so strong BECAUSE they have experienced the horrible truth about abortion. Thank you for expressing the words of Fr. John A. Hardon. He is exactly right that we “We are only channels of grace to others in the measure that we are possessed of God’s grace ourselves.”. Just as the man in the temple area beating his breast because of his sinfulness and pleading with God for mercy, we learn that God truly forgives when we “come clean” about our fallen-ness. He is ready to lift us up and bless us and use us for the cause of righteousness.

Women who have had abortions fall usually into two categories. The ones who are in denial, speak out FOR abortion, sometimes angrily. The others, the victors, who face up to what they did, forgive others and themselves and allow their experience to help others make a better choice for life. Isn't God wonderful that he can make ALL things work together for our good!!!

You are correct that this world is full of desperate evil. We have had several cases recently in N.C. where young pregnant women were brutally murdered by the very men who fathered their unborn children. They were killed because they refused to have abortions. You can only imagine the pressure they faced to “get rid” of the problem. Many women face the same kind of pressure every day from parents, friends, society, boyfriends, husbands, etc. Rarely is abortion purely a woman's own “selfish” choice.

We know that the devil is on a rampage seeing his end is near so we can expect that evil will grow worse and worse. That still shouldn't stop us from reaching out to women and girls through Pregnancy Help Center ministries and temporary homes for unwed mothers. We must fight for our representatives to stop the horror of abortion in our country. It will only happen one heart at a time.

This article just sickened me. I know they kill unborn children at abortion clinics, but I really wasn’t aware babies were dying in toilets, in there as though they are human waste. It’s amazing how the abortionist can talk about such a horrific thing so cavalierly. These people are sociopaths, monsters! Too have so little regard for those human beings who are the most vulnerable among us is atrocious. The worst part is, it’s legal!

Said Kelly4c: I have been blessed with a beautiful and delightful grandson whom I love more than life itself. My daughter was young and unmarried when pregnant. I told her abortion is not an option. I explained my past. I took a life in my youth, but who knows, maybe I had a hand in saving another very precious one.

Now replies Jesse:
That is a beautiful post. Way to go both in sharing with us and with your daughter when she was in the time of decision regarding the baby inside her.

And you bring up a very important aspect which is often overlooked. We often cite the negative reasons for not getting abortion such as "Don't get an abortion because it's killing a human life." but we often forget to also mention the positive reasons - like how precious a child is (and especially a grandchild:).

(I don't intend to suggest at all that one's own children are any less precious, but I suspect that a young woman unhappily pregnant is probably too stressed out to think too much about how precious a child is. But by the time her own kids have kids, she's got a better handle on life and can really enjoy her grandkids!)

Keep up the good work,
~Jesse

if I were the judge - I would award the little girl a boatload of money for her medical expenses, plus punitive damages. I would have removed the girl from this mother’s care and appointed a guardian to investigate the best home to place her in.

It is possible, I suppose, that the mother is sorry, and is a fine mother. (I only read the article posted on FR, so I don't know all the details.) But I do agree - the girl is the victim moreso then the mother. The money should definitely go to the girl. However, that isn't likely to happen since she's not the one suing.

It will only happen one heart at a time.

And that’s the ONLY way it is going to happen. No politician or law will stop it. It has to come from within ones self but at the rate abortions are growing...I don’t hold much hope for it.

Also, we can’t stop it so if soneone wants to have an abortion then that is their business and they can take it up with God when the time comes. However, I DO NOT want to pay for it.

The good news is that the rate of abortion in our country has been DECLINING for many years now. It is STILL unacceptable, but I really believe we are seeing a slow reversal of attitudes away from pro-choice to pro-life. God IS changing hearts and minds. We should never give up our fight for life.

I also agree with you that as long as abortion is legal we should not have to pay for them with our taxes. Every person who takes the risk of getting pregnant should also face the consequences of that decision. I would like very much for Planned Parenthood to not get another dime in tax money. Even if, as they claim, the money doesn't pay directly for abortions, it nevertheless frees up other funds that DO. I refused to donate to United Way at work - against strong management pressure - precisely because they support PP or International PP.

I want to thank you for your uplifting response:) The last part is true too, at least for me it was, my daughter was every bit as precious but like you said the situation was stressful and my mentality was immature, she wasn’t as cherished at the time as she should have been. I always wished I could go back and do it over.

God bless you too, boatbums. You’re right, we can use it for good. Being in the unique position to understand all of the ramifications we can speak to others who are contemplating doing this thing and maybe save lives, I wish I was a better speaker cuz I’ve always wanted to become more vocal and speak to groups but I’m too shy. Then again who would give us a platform? Certainly not the secular public school system. You’re not allowed to at the clinics...any ideas?

You already have a good start just by being aware of the harm it did to you and the regret you know EVERY woman must deal with. There are Christian ministries known as Crisis Pregnancy Centers or Pregnancy Help Centers. You can find them in the yellow pages under the heading of Abortion Alternatives. They will usually also have the phrase that they do not refer nor perform abortions. The abortion "clinics" also list under the Abortion Alternatives sections because they insist that they can also advise about adoption - though I highly doubt that is pushed very much of at all - so be sure you check.

Call and ask to offer your help, they are always in need of volunteers. Check also if they have a post-abortion support group program. If they do, then you could participate in it. Even if it is just helping to sort baby clothes to start, every bit we do goes to defending mothers and their babies. Then, above all, pray and ask the Lord to show you how he desires to use you in this very important ministry. You will be delightfully surprised at how the Holy Spirit puts the very words you need to say to in your mouth and how he strengthens you and removes your fear. All he wants is a willing vessel, and he will do great and glorious deeds through those whose hearts are trusting in him. God bless you, Kelly!
