Wisconsin Pre-Election Tour from Aug 4th - 7th (Tea Party Express/New Tour)[Update #16,23]
Tea Party Express ^ | July 26, 2011 | Levi Russell

Posted on 07/26/2011 4:43:50 PM PDT by Syncro

We have exciting news to announce tonight, friends.

The Tea Party Express is pleased to announce that we will be conducting a Wisconsin Pre-Election Tour from August 4th - 7th, ahead of the critical Recall elections.

We are pleased to be joining with The Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama who have been hard at work in Wisconsin to organize patriots there to stand up for and support Gov. Scott Walker against the endless political attacks from Barack Obama, MoveOn.org and public employee unions.

We will be sending out a copy of the tour schedule in the next 48 hours and want to invite patriots from throughout Wisconsin to participate, as well as supporters of Gov. Scott Walker from across the nation.

Please, make the most generous contribution you can afford to the Tea Party Express to support our efforts in Wisconsin and help us fight to DEFEAT these recall drives.  Right now conservatives are being badly outspent by Barack Obama's liberal allies.  Friends, it's not even close - we're getting beaten on the money front by a HUGE margin, so we need everyone's help to fight back!

Here are the politicians that we need to support so that they are not recalled:

Wisconsin Recall

Conservatives Under Attack

Wisconsin has become ground zero in the fight between corrupt big-union bosses and the fiscally responsible conservatives, which are trying to usher in legislative policies that will fix their state’s budget.

We have profiled below 6 Wisconsin State Senators that have represented their constituents with honesty and integrity. They have engaged in productive debate and advocated for fiscally responsible solutions to Wisconsin’s financial woes. Now, after passing legislation that would limit the corrupt union’s power and give freedoms back to the workers, these Senators have come under a barrage of attacks.

The well-funded and well-organized Democratic Party and Big-Union machines have successfully recalled the state senators featured below. The Tea Party Express is organizing its team to enter Wisconsin and defend these conservative Senators. As governors across the country begin to take on these well-established unions, the strategy we develop in Wisconsin will be key in defeating these unions nation-wide.

Join this battle and support our team that will be hitting the ground in Wisconsin and defending conservative values!

Recalled State Senators

Senator Robert Cowles (R) – Senator Cowles’ time in Wisconsin’s capitol has been dedicated to cutting waste and fraud. He has made strong calls for audits to both the public energy sector and state Medicaid program. He has been an ally to Wisconsin taxpayers, advocating for efficiency in government by cutting wasteful spending. As Senator Cowles faces a recall, he needs your support!

Senator Alberta Darling (R) – Senator Darling has recognized the dire state of Wisconsin’s budget and has worked hard to reign in spending. She has co-authored the Job Creation Act, promoting private sector growth while voting to cut taxes. Senator Darling is working hard to protect Wisconsin and she needs your help!

Senator Sheila Harsdorf (R) –Senator Harsdorf feels Wisconsinites are taxed enough and the only way to fix the budget is to slash government spending. The Senator has made a strong stand against the union bosses focused on recalling her saying: “Union bosses don’t run government, people do.  I will not be intimidated into voting against taxpayers.” She has proven to be a strong representative of the people, but needs your support now!

Senator Luther Olsen (R) – Senator Olsen is a dedicated proponent for education and has tirelessly advocated on the students behalf. He has recognized the flaws in the education system and by voting for Scott Walker’s collective bargaining law, shows he understands the damages big-unions have done to our education system. As Senator Olsen comes under fire from the desperate unions, he will need your help!

Senator Randy Hopper (R) – Senator Hopper ran for office wanting to change the “politics-as-usual” mentality. Upon entering office, he donated his legislative pay raise to three YMCAs’ Strong Kids Campaigns. As a former small business owner, he is focused on economic development and job creation. He has committed to lowering taxes and growing the economy – support Senator Hopper as he fights off this unwarranted recall election!

Senator Dan Kapanke (R) – Senator Kapanke, a veteran and former business owner, was named “Legislator of the Year” for is innovative ideas and strong stance on Wisconsin’s out-of-control spending. Senator Kapanke was one of the big proponents to the collective bargaining law that was passed in Wisconsin recently. He is a proven conservative reformer, which in-turn has put him in the crosshairs of the unions. As the recall election approaches, he needs your help!

I can support them, but I can’t vote for them. My State Senator, Jim Holperin is being recalled because he was one of the filthy 14 who ran to Illinois. Kim Simac is running an effective campaign against him, but every left-wing oganization in the country is pumping money into the district. Their commercials aren’t really very good, but they run constantly.

The recalls against the Republicans will be held on August 9.
The recalls against the Dems will be held August 16.

Thanks for that info, jellybean!

Having the dates of the elections posted here on the thread is great.

Yea, there is a lot of dirty money being spent by the opposition. Unions, Soros, Obama, democrats, etc.

We have a real fight on our hands, but hopefully the PEOPLE will come through and prevent a political bloodbath.

I think the anti-Simac ads are really pathetic. The one played most often is paid for by We Are Wisconsin which is really just a front for the Unions.

Sync,

I've searched the Tea Party Express website and checked my email and can't find the tour schedule. Has it been determined yet where they will be in WI?

The little numbers on the map above are the Senate districts where a recall elections are being held. Are the ones in blue the districts the TPE will be visiting? What cities, what dates?

Cool!

More info on the events:

The Tea Party Express is launching a major Wisconsin tour late next week in order to counter the efforts of Barack Obama, MoveOn.org and the public employee unions ahead of the August 9th and August 16th Recall elections.

We need volunteers who can help us organize these rallies and get the word out.  So if you live in Wisconsin or near the state and can help, please email Levi Russell of the Tea Party Express at:  Levi@FrontlineStrat.com

If you don't live in Wisconsin you can still help by showing up at any of the events you can make it too! Lets have a BIG showing from FreeRepublic.com!

I used my Poetic License and added the last part in blue.

Public Policy Polling (7/21-24, likely voters, no trendlines):

SD-14:

Fred Clark (D): 49
Luther Olsen (R-inc): 47
Undecided: 4
(MoE: ±3.3%)

SD-2:

Nancy Nusbaum (D): 47
Rob Cowles (R-inc): 51
Undecided: 2
(MoE: ±3.1%)

SD-8:

Sandy Pasch (D): 47
Alberta Darling (R-inc): 52
Undecided: 1
(MoE: ±2.6%
Note that two Republicans are ahead in this poll.

What's interesting is that this is a leftist/democrat poll. So it may be somewhat factually giving us a clue as to how well some repubs are doing.

But they will use this information to fight even harder to get their agenda across.

So we need to not slack and fight them tooth and nail on all of these races!
