Welcome to Nazi Germany not too long from now.

No dissenting views. Only one party. Only one Leader. And a final solution to the “conservative” problem.

DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR GUNS WHILE YOU’RE STILL BREATHING!

Krugman is only now being seen as a laughingstock? Whew... Where have people been for the past ten years (at least)?

“..Seriously, these people are a slight nudge away from endorsing workcamps for dissenters...”

Bring it.

This time, it won’t turn out so well for those endorsing it.

The rules have changed. It will mean SERIOUS pain for them.

Man, it must be rough. A man who wears such a sophisticated, intellectual facade on the outside, but who realizes on the inside that fewer people are listening, his newspaper is dying and his best chance to be persuasive is to emulate Ghengis Khan.

It must be hard for him to wake up in the morning, go to the mirror, and see anything other than the face of failure.

“The rules have changed. It will mean SERIOUS pain for them.”

Really? They HAVE??
I must assume you are right, since Fast+Furious is leading the morning headlines every day, and the Evening Network News is covering it in detail.

Oh....
Wait....

Krugman is an idiot and proves Nobel prizes are like Cracker Jack prizes.

New York Times columnist Paul Krugman on Tuesday said it was a "moral issue"...

And as everyone knows, liberals are dead set against any morals!

You’ll note the MEME being created/reinforced here.

ANYONE who doesn’t believe the CURRENT TRUTH, is NUTS!, CRAZY!, A WHACKO CULT MEMBER!!, etc...

I deal daily with libs who ALREADY think it would be OK to put anyone with “Conservative” views in death camps, because we take a stand against gays. How much farther do we need to go before they start doing it?

He is ugly with that gross beard. Women don’t like kissing that icky facial hair. Why don’t these Freud types get that?

I have long said that 1984 is a how-to book for the lobs/Democrats. This is just one more example of that.

Relax, brother tcrlaf. We’re on the same side.

They haven’t showed up at your door demanding you accompany them for “temporary re-education” yet, have they?

That’ll be your moment to cause pain. Or not. Your choice, your decision.

They can pass all the laws they want. Whether you choose to obey those laws or not is ALWAYS your choice.

Choices have consequences. For BOTH sides.

You can disarm, and be like the Jews in Germany who willingly opened the door to the local Officer Friendly and his SS, SD, or Gestapo accompaniment, and then passively went to the “showers”...

...or you can resolve to go on Safari when the time comes, and make the Krugmans and other fascist/socialist pr*cks of the world piss themselves in the same fright that want to wreak upon you and your family.

Your choice.

The way I see it, those are the only two option available.

I always love it when media types use their free speech and press to talk about how those things are dangerous and should be curtailed.

A man can take a lot of pride in a gnarly, tangled beard. We had some pretty epic beards in Afghanistan. Of course, we shaved them off before coming home. Being proud of your facial hair is all well and good sitting on a cold hilltop in the middle of nowhere. It’s not so good when cute women think you’re homeless.

I knew one guy who didn’t shave for over a year before coming home on vacation, and didn’t shave then. One of the first women who he talked to outside of the airport apologized and said she didn’t have any money.

Ouch.

Krugman has the classic ‘I just left the shelter’ beard. It’s not quite out of control, but it’s not neatly trimmed enough to be socially acceptable. If I saw a man with that beard, wearing an old Army field jacket and fingerless gloves, warming his hands over a barrel with fire in it, I’d either think ‘hobo’, ‘wino’ or ‘Nobel prize winning New York Times economist’.

I am certain if you asked the head of the ACLU, he would say what Krug-manic proposes is fine.
