Left the band, when he became a born-again Christian.
They still have to answer for Muskrat Love, though.

Didn’t the Captain and Tenielle do the definitive version?
Or was that a completely different song?
Gosh, it sounded so innocent...

It amazes me I can’t find “Muskrat Stew.”
I know I heard it on Dr. D. but I guess it didn’t make it to the interwebz...

Wasn’t that the Captain and Tennille?

There is no forgiveness for ‘Muskrat Love’. Horse, Sister, Ventura and Tin were played zillions of times. They had a heck of a good run in the ‘70’s. RIP, Mr. Peek.

You can blame Willis Alan Ramsey fro Muskrat Love, which he wrote and performed under the title Muskrat Candelight. He more than redeemed himself, however, when he wrote "Northeast Texsas Women" ... "Ya gotta getcha a Lone Star girl with cast iron curls, but if your taste in women is strange, you can head on down to old La Grange ... them Texsas women standing beat the other laying down."
