You are right and for my money, women in America have gone to the most asinine extremes in the way they have chosen to be independent. Modesty and pride in being feminine are gone.
Young women especially disgust me.
But, I still ay the women in Muslim countries are truly exploited and oppressed.
It's too easy to transition from "honor killing" to just plain old "killing" would be my guess.

I think it’s all Kabuki, myself....when question about the inhumanity of this or that, they say “Why yes, this is terrible....BUT...” Then they proceed to explain why the EVIL DEVIL in the West (America) is at fault. I was obviously being sarcastic. There was a doctor who claimed 10,000 women die every year from back alley abortions,(before Roe) which would have meant some 20% of deaths of women of childbearing age.
