Democrats have never been happy with the idea that people could build themselves satisfying lives, on their own terms, through their own efforts, rather than having to beg for favors from politicians. They’re all about having control over other people, and they always have been.

I have two opposing thoughts on this:

1. It’s true, and it’s all their fault.

2. It’s not necessarily true, and I remember hearing THE EXACT SAME THING during the 1991 recession.

The phrase is simply a way to excuse Democrat incompetence.

10% unemployment - the “new normal”
$4.00/gal gas - the “new normal”
massive federal debt - the “new normal”

It wouldn’t be so if conservatives ran the show.

I believe unemployment would drop, home starts would go up, GDP would go up and the federal debt would go down if we simply had a conservative Republican elected president.

Particularly if there were not enough Democrats in Congress to sabotage a fiscal revolution, conservatives would make a mockery of the phrase “new normal”.

carter tried this exact bullsh!t and it didn't work then and it will not work now. Even if we have to build a new America from the ruins left by DC... we will be AMERICA again... and Reagan already proved that to all of us... once before! Basically, what the democrats are doing, is sacrificing the wealthiest economy ever, and the best country ever, so that there could be a “spreading of the wealth”, which would create a classless society.

But, the end result will be that, instead of the classless society and wealth redistribution, the U.S. will end up like a Cuba or a Venezuela or a Greece, where there is no wealth to redistribute and nobody will have the time nor the energy to worry about class envy.

What the democrats have created is a very bleak future for the U.S., and perhaps no future at all. If anybody can, perhaps it’s time to start thinking of finding a “better” country somewhere, because, with the direction we’re going, it’s time to find a “new” America.

Here's a "new normal" for the socialists ('rats) and the socialist's wannabees/enablers/co-conspirators (repubs)...

DEFUND socialist collectives, foreign and domestic (including Congress).

After socialist collectives are DEFUNDED and UNaccountable bureaucracies/agencies (more socialism) are DISBANDED, legislatures will have very little reason to meddle in our lives.

Legislatures (state and federal) can be part-time jobs with 1/10th pay, NO retirement, NO perks, NO insurance. These POS politicians can get a job doing something productive not "progressive" (like enriching themselves at our expense).

This type of attitude will give the next Ronald Reagan the chance to burst onto the scene with another “Morning in America” type campaign.

Anyone like Sarah Palin who can inspire people and give them hope will be a very popular candidate in 2012.

The last time someone (PeanutBoi) said this type ofthing the country went into a period of hyper capitalism. And it will happen the same way again.

When someone starts to tell you about the new normal just tell them:

“You’re in the wrong line. The line for followers is over there. Please move to the end of that line and wait quietly. We’re busy over here in the leader’s group.”
