I’m not a hobbit, I’m an elf!
The WSJ is right
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I was JUST readying to find the YouTube on this puerile, preposterous pronouncement from the father-of-the-year. It made me wonder when he made his anti-Falwell statement—one year, two years after his election? This is a pol the likes of which no dem dares compete in matters of principle. Is he senile? Or maybe he’s being held prisoner by Meghan and Cindi until he’s similarly brainwashed.
What an utter ass.
Captain McCain could best serve by retiring.
Paul Gigot is still running the editorial board at WSJ, no?
McCain is wormtongue in LOR speak
Nope ... the WSJ is quite wrong ... Film at Eleven ...

No, the WSJ is embarrassingly wrong.
For starters, the author of the editorial failed at accurately presenting his (her?) own analogy.
“and the tea-party Hobbits could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor.”
When did the Hobbits leave Middle Earth?

The hobbits didn’t *leave* Middle Earth when they journeyed forth from The Shire.
Now I have a new vision to see whenever I hear McCain talking. Here are some Saruman quotes from the movie (I don't have a digital copy of the books to search quickly) that are appropriate for a Senator/Wizard who is looking for the best deal in a complete sell out.
Saruman: Against the power of Mordor there can be no victory.
Saruman: We must join with Him, Gandalf. We must join with Sauron. It would be wise, my friend.
Gandalf: Tell me, "friend", when did Saruman the Wise abandon reason for madness?
Saruman: I gave you the chance of aiding me willingly, but you have elected the way of pain.
It would help if this guy had read “The Hobbit”.
Hobbits lived in the Shire. And Frodo, was given the mission to destroy EVIL.
I’ll be happy to return to Middle Earth just as soon as Mordor burns to the ground. (6’5” 300# knuckle dragging Hobbit)
Someone please post the graphic of the fall of the tower of Sauron. That will be 11/6/2012.
Rise, men (and women) of the WEST!!!
Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.
Frodo is the name of my dog. And he’d do a damn sight better leading this country right now than what we’ve got.
And he works cheap...walks and ‘Frosty Paws’ is all he looks forward to..not too much of an agenda. :-)
Sounds good to me.
