Payback may be coming for congressman's 'disloyalty'
The Columbus Dispatch ^ | 07/28/2011 | Joe Hallett

Posted on 07/28/2011 2:06:30 PM PDT by izzatzo

U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan's open defiance of Speaker John Boehner's efforts to solve the debt-ceiling crisis could cost the Urbana Republican his safe seat in next year's election.

Two Republican sources deeply involved in configuring new Ohio congressional districts confirmed to The Dispatch today that Jordan's disloyalty to Boehner has put him in jeopardy of being zeroed out of a district.

TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism; Government; Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: boehner; congressman; disloyalty; jimjordan; payback
Good example of political machinations, in this case a good Conservative appears to be at risk for standing on principle and opposing Boehner's debt ceiling sham. Hats off to Jordan, he's been fighting a good battle the last couple of days. Screw Boehner, may he have a primary opponent. Come on you Buckeyes, step up to the bar and help Jordan out.

Yep, Boehner needs to go.

Let’s see, because of silly baseline budgeting the budget will increase by 9 trillion over the next 10 years automatically and Boehner says he can save 1.2 trillion.

Gee, maybe it’s because I actually got a decent public education in the 1960’s and 70’s, but that still INCREASES spending 7.8 trillion.

And they call that a cut? No, a cut is taking last years budget level and spending LESS THAN THAT.

So not only does Boehner fail to know simple arithmetic, he doesn’t understand English.

I “friended” Jordan on Facebook and received this little nugget this morning. I agree Jordan has been stellar and we owe him our gratitude and any help he might need. I will call Bonehead and his cohorts.

Hats off, indeed - Hey, Boehner: you don’t play hardball with your own effin’ party!

Argh.

Sounds like what a Good Old RINO would do. Kill off an R seat for disloyalty which would allow the Rats to keep a seat.

This kind of behavior is hardly anything new from either party.

In 08 the GOP threw my freshman congressman overboard after he took a firm stand against TARP. The NRCC cut off his funding along with other conservatives right before the election. My congressman lost by 2% and we were stuck with a marxist for two years. Fortunately in 2010 we reelected the man they threw overboard in 08.

RINOs are lying, manipulative bottom feeding scum.

They’ll happily toss a seat to the democrats if they think it will punish those uppity conservatives.

Boehner must think he is a mob boss. He treats Democrats better than he does members of his own party.

Defining moment, Repubics.

“silly baseline budgeting the budget”

Have these people ever heard of zero based budgeting and real cuts? Naw, too simplistic and more importantly honest.

Boehner, the crying alcoholic has not taken into account that HIS sissy behind has "Payback" coming for him too. What an arrogant, sniveling sissy. I've seen that some Tea Party leaders have said that you have to go Boehner.

What goes around, comes around, you little sissy.

It never ceases to amaze me how much guts the Republican leadership has when it comes to fighting our own solid people, and how non-existent their guts are, when it comes to fighting Socialist/Communist/Fascist/Marxists that even lean toward Islam.

They do know how to play hardball. It’s just who they decide to play hardball with that has destroyed my support for them.

I think BONER is putting himself in way more jeopardy

He has been in office way too long.

THROUGH THEM ALL OUT

Term limits NOW

ONE TERM (not even 2)

AND NO ‘RETIREMENT’

If that’s true, then I retract my 18. While I still think it fits, I should let it go here. I don’t want to trash Boehner on a CBS-like, not proven but none the less true charge.

Yeah, makes too much sense.

Local talk show host in Nashville (I live just south) talked to legislature members a few years ago when we were having income tax protest (we killed the idea).

He asked them, “why don’t you just budget expenses for what you exactly took in last year and if its coming in less, cut quarterly?” He said they looked at him like he had three heads.

“It’s just not done that way” was their response. That’s it? Really? Those are normally famous last words.

So they “project” revenues and spend accordingly like they are some sort of psychics. And, of course, when they don’t get what was “projected” they scream for more taxes or they’ll “cut police, teachers, firefighters”, blah blah blah.

What’s never reported is that even when they are below projected revenue they’re always ahead of the same time last year.

“...the crying alcoholic...”

It is amazing, but I don’t think I’ve seen a picture of him, even in “friendly” media, where he doesn’t look like he is in or near tears(I think he’s chronically depressed, but I’m not a doctor and don’t play one on TV). Bad, bad image, and the GOP ought to realize this. TP is right on with their comment the other day about him needing to go, he’s nothing but a modern day Bob Michel.
