His birhtday party is in jeopardy? His umpteenth vacay at the Vineyahd?

He’s going to threaten again...I can’t see him caving or melting down...at least not until Monday.

SHOW US YOUR PLAN, 0bama.

Does anyone know where I can find a list of the Republicans who say they’ll vote against the bill? I want to congratulate every one of them. I hope my own congressman, Doug Lamborn (R-CO) is among them.

>>> Where have you been? You act like you’re shocked that there’s gambling going on.

Nothing shocks me anymore.

I’m just pointing out the obvious.

It’s ridiculous for the media to blame tea party republicans for a bill defeat when democrats have close to half of the seats in the house.

We hit the spending “limit” over 6 weeks ago

Geithner used federla law to raid federal/military retirement savings fund (TSP- contributory 401K-type) for over $200 billion since June to keep spending

Thus our debt is not at the $14.3 trillion ceiling, but is now over $14.5 trillion

Timmy promised the federal/military workers he’d just put the cookies back in the cookie jar (with interest) when he got his debt ceiling increase

Now, who knows. “By Law” is meaningless with this bunch

It’s ridiculous for the media to blame...

It's ridiculous but that doesn't mean it won't happen.

Yeah, does this mean Hussein won’t be 20 minutes late as usual?

Messing up plans for his birthday bash, ramadan, and his golf schedule. Any fancy end-of-summer vacation plans, particularly one of those expensive foreign outings for the wookie, MIL, and the girls, are probably messed up, too.

Yeah, he won’t be able to hide how ticked off he is.

He’s that fragile.

Maybe he's going to tell Americans that he's decided to raise the debt ceiling all by himself?

Imagine that.
Someone continuing to borrow money in your name (without your permission) that you have to repay.

Oh that's right! The people on the hill and their buddies have been doing that all along.
Guess obama will just be dropping all the middle men (and women).

Could it be?

...that Boehner was this smart to wait until the GDP numbers came out to hammer it home knowing Obmama wanted to get it done BEFORE they came out? Could the squabble be feigned?
...or is it just coincidence and we’re too stupid to use these numbers to help get real cost cutting and CCB passed?

There is a Spock qoute I can’t quite get out of my head that is appropriate here.

Well, the drive-by’s are lamenting that he’s losing sleep over this debacle, so maybe he’ll come out in his jammies...

GDP of 1.9 revised to .4 from last month, meaning, this month’s 1.3 will be revised to negative...when was the last time this great country’s GDP contracted???

Is Boehner smart enough - perhaps with help - to postpone the vote on purpose?

Again?

Wouldn't it be grand if no reporters showed up to cover it? Just an empty room.

“Reid says he will not accept a six month debt limit extension”

This quote should be put in the echo chamber. Why did the US get downgraded? The Senate Blocked all legislation!

Aug 2nd was a random date chosen by the WH to maximize the great triumph of our Dear Leader in signing a bill and to make his glorious birthday bash celebrations even greater.
