Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, one of the high-profile certified non-moderates urging the GOP to support John Boehner's debt ceiling bill, leveled criticism at Sarah Palin during today's show for raising the prospect of 2012 primary challenges to House Republicans.

Laura, being a Washingtonian and talkshow host, builds relationships with all these politicians and media types and party people. They become her neighbors and friends and frequent guests and part of her social circle. A regular turnover of citizen-representatives would make life so much more difficult and unpredictable. Why is a primary challenge a “threat”? It is a threat only to the career politician who makes his living off the taxpayer, who thinks he owns his “seat”.

I have to disagree with Laura Ingraham on this one. She is falling into the Washington Beltway trap of buying into the Democrat meme. The Democrats have postulated that we absolutely, positively MUST raise the federal debt ceiling by August 2nd or catastrophe looms. If the House Republicans block a deal, they are the cause of all the misery that will proceed. On this false basis, Laura Ingram (and many other supposedly conservative commentators) are bemoaning the TEA party Republican freshmen as ‘intransigent’ and foolishly standing on principle instead of playing the game with the Democrats (raise the debt limit now, big cuts later, if at all.) Ingraham ignores the fact that raising the debt limit is still allowing Obama to put the country another 2 billion plus in the hole. Her sneering at House Republicans that are standing firm is insulting and very off-putting. I may never quite watch/listen to Laura Ingrham with much enthusiasm after this debacle. She appears to either be unable to see whats happening, rendering her analysis as useless or she is attempting to be on the side of commentators such as Charles Krauthammer who consider themselves pragmatists that are savvy to Washington politics. Frankly, I’m sick of Beltway ‘pragmatism’ that has gotten us 14 trillion plus in debt. That being the case, I stand with the TEA party House Republicans, not Laura Ingrham.

Sarah Palin happened to her. And to Ann Coulter.

A new, shiny, beautiful chick is on the scene and it’s getting their goat.

Go, Sarah, go!

Ingrate is just trying to find her nitche. There is a need for a RINO/Moderate voice. I don’t listen. I guess some people do. Maybe McCain and Goober Graham can fill in from time to time.

Blame the GOP leadership. We didn’t have this public display of infighting a week or so ago after CCB passed.

Did you hear Laura over the last two days? Politico is not exaggerating. Laura went way over the top blaming the Tea Party...

Mark Levin apparently took to his facebook page to dliver a well deserved swipe to Ingra It is entitled “Shame!”.

Sarah Palin need not get her hands dirty engaging with nobodies like Ingraham. In order to do so, she would have to aim down...way down.

“I would expect that Sarah Palin also clarifies her remarks about an inferred primary threat to Pence, Ryan or West. They are all on the same team.”

Yeah, the career government-employee team.

If an unknown, underfunded nobody runs in a primary against one of these debt raisers, and Sarah Palin shows up for that candidate, the next morning, they will be well funded, well known and leading in the polls. These freshmen know this because half of them were that candidate a year ago. This isn’t a lame threat. It is a hard cold 800lb wake up call right between the eyes.

I almost didn’t recognize Laura today. She was snarky and sarcastic, actually setting up one of Obama’s famous false choices: “if Republicans don’t go with Boehner’s plan they’re voting with Pelosi!” She was fawning over Bill Kristol and very rude to any caller who disagreed with her.

I attempted to listen to her the past two days and had to turn her off. I had the exact same impression that you had. She was shallow in her arguments and rude to callers. She was pathetic.

I think she is drinking the DC Kool-Aid.

I heard Laura say this and turned that channel. Like this or any gop house bill has a chance to pass in the senate? I found it quite snarky. Betcha it didn’t have the effect LI wanted.

BS Ingraham’s criticism has nothing to do with gender. I’m sure Charles Krauthammer, Bill Kristol, WSJ, etc. would say the same thing. I think the threat of primary challenges right now is not helpful. One tea party group already was falsely accused of calling for a primary challenge of Allen West. That’s nonsense. Allen West didn’t suddenly turn into a RINO because he thinks unfortunately we have to find a way to raise the debt ceiling.

Laura Ingrahm has become an elitist. She can sit at the Karl Rove table from now on, while the real conservatives carry the fight and do what has to be done.

If I remember correctly, LI didn’t give Christine Odonnell much support.

I was only tuned in for about a minute. Sorry to heard she was rude to disagreeing callers. Ann Coulter is on the bandwagon too. Maybe it’s a blond thing. I don’t get it.

F__ Laura Ingraham.

A primary challenge prod is most appropriate right now when they’re voting on a bill that is guaranteed to destroy America.

Laura has shown her soft head far too often lately.
