Democrat strategist and former Al Gore Campaign Manager Donna Brazile said on "This Week" that Newt Gingrich is "the ONLY Republican, that I've been in battle with, as a Democratic strategist and organizer, who whipped us in 1994." I think she's basically saying not to count Gingrich out yet... Don't miss out on the first part of this clip where radio talk show host Laura Ingraham unloaded by saying that there are "many people who wouldn't be in Washington had it not been for three people: Bill Buckley, Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich. He was the face of Conservatism in...

On the online “Green Room” segment of Sunday’s “This Week” on ABC, conservative radio talk show host Laura Ingraham speculated that Romney’s strength in the contest is a sign that the tea party might not be as strong as conventional wisdom would suggest. “They don’t have the power that they thought they had, perhaps,” Ingraham said. “I mean, Romney is not a tea party candidate, and they’re talking about 27 percent of the Republican Party that still believe it’s tea party infused. The tea party, they have a lot of energy but you know … more of a moderate view...

Conservatives must have thought they died and went to heaven when the Roundtable segment of ABC’s This Week began Sunday. There were syndicated columnist George Will and talk radio’s Laura Ingraham facing off on the state of the Republican presidential race

But even if her poll numbers are bad, Coulter argued, “no conservatives will criticize Palin because they don’t want to deal with the hate mail.” She explained that Palin’s supporters made a vice of their loyalty, so much so that “you say her voice is a few octaves too high… and you’ll be inundated with letters.” She later noted that while “we used to all love Sarah Palin for her enemies, I’m starting to dislike her because of her fans.” Ingraham switched gears a bit on what was wrong with Palin as a presidential candidate, suggesting that voters were “hungry...

DCRTV hears that DC area talker WTNT, 730 AM, will soon get an FM relay on 102.9. Bruce Houston, head of Vienna-based Metro Radio, tells us that he's got a contract to purchase the low-power license from Lynchburg's Liberty University. When launched in a few weeks from a tower off West Ox Road in Fairfax, the new FM signal should cover much of Fairfax County day and night, Houston says. While WTNT's Mount Vernon-based 730 AM signal is strong by day, it drops to a low-power level after sunset. WTNT runs "America's Morning News," Andy Parks' new Washington Times afternoon...

In November of 2010 in Don’t be VAT stupid Herman Cain writes: ``A national retail sales tax on top of all the confusing and unfair taxes we have today is insane! It gives the out-of-control bureaucrats and politicians in denial one more tool to lie, deceive, manipulate and destroy this country.`` The fact is, Herman is now proposing a new tax, a national retail sales tax, in addition to taxing corporate profits and incomes, and also would tax the wages working people earn. Herman Cain essentially admitted in the above mentioned article his existing plan is ``insane!`` So, why do...

CBS's Sharyl Attkisson revealed on Tuesday's "Laura Ingraham Show" the extent of the rage directed at her from the Obama administration for her reporting on the "Fast and Furious" controversy: "The DOJ woman was just yelling at me. A guy from the White House on Friday night literally screamed at me and cussed at me." Attkisson also stated that "they think I'm unfair and biased by pursuing it."
-
Via Laura Ingraham’s producer Matt Wolking, vivid proof that it’s not true that “the media” is ignoring Fast & Furious. Most of the media is, but Sharyl Attkisson at CBS has been filing scoops damned near every day, including last night’s bombshell that briefings were sent to Holder as early as July 2010. Ingraham asked her about that in the clip you’re about to hear. Attkisson’s reply: I’m certainly not the one to make the case for DOJ and White House about what I’m doing wrong. They will tell you that I’m the only reporter–as they told me–that is not...

Was last night’s “stunning victory” for New York Rep.-elect Bob Turner over New York State Assemblyman David Weprin a tell-tale sign of Republicans’ future dominance over Democrats? Or just an anomaly? Some left-leaning commentators and others in the media are already downplaying the results. But on Laura Ingraham’s radio show Wednesday, National Review columnist Mark Steyn, author of “After America: Get Ready for Armageddon,” offered his own tongue-in-cheek explanation for Democratic excuse-makers: the reappearance of 1920s-era Republicans at the modern-day voting booth. “It’s tough turf for Democrats,” Steyn said, “because you know [Turner's district] was Republican as recently as in...

Earlier this week, conservative columnist and author Ann Coulter raised eyebrows with criticism of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her supporters for not committing to the 2012 presidential election. The comments were made an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor” with guest host Laura Ingraham and, it seems, incurred the wrath of conservative radio host Mark Levin. On his Wednesday radio program, Levin fired back at Coulter, Ingraham and others for the attacks on Palin, as well as Texas Gov. Rick Perry. According to Levin, Coulter and Ingraham, who he called were “trashing” Palin. Meanwhile, Coulter is...

Ann Coulter + Laura Ingraham = two Ivy League BA holding women w/ law school degrees who at some point in their life, likely dreamt of holding high political office (Coulter almost ran for Congress in Connecticut!)--but neither had the courage to challenge the old boy establishments of which they hail from, so they instead "followed the rules of the system" (as ivy leaguers are trained to do) and settled for the sole outlets by which feminist-minded women (the conformist breed of feminist) can gain the kind of stature they were desiring: This meant settling for something "easier" and less...

On Monday, September 12, CBS Radio ends the simulcast of sports talk on WXYT-AM/FM and launches Talk Radio 1270 WXYT. CBS says in a release, “Home to lively conversation and debate, the talk station will focus on the issues affecting Americans with an edge that doesn’t exist in Detroit talk radio today.” The program schedule is: Charlie Langton in AM drive followed by Premiere Networks’ Glenn Beck; Talk Radio Network’s Laura Ingraham; Compass Media Networks’ Todd Schnitt; Genesis Communications Network’s Jason Lewis; and TRN’s Rusty Humphries. CBS Radio Detroit SVP and market manager Debbie Kenyon says, “I’m extremely excited about...

Rep. Allen West (R-FL) told Laura Ingraham tonight on the O’Reilly Factor that he was the modern day Harriet Tubman. Allen West:“Well I think Laura when you look at what is happening, the laughable hypocrisy is that the big black bus is not going into the black communities. When you have unemployment in the black community, 16.3% in July and it dropped down to 15.9% in the month of August, that’s not in the right direction. So you have this 21st Century plantation where the democrat party has forever taken the black vote for granted and you have established certain...

Conservative radio host Laura Ingraham, one of the high-profile certified non-moderates urging the GOP to support John Boehner's debt ceiling bill, leveled criticism at Sarah Palin during today's show for raising the prospect of 2012 primary challenges to House Republicans.

House Speaker John Boehner has a new excuse for the dissent within the ranks of the House Republican Caucus he is supposed to lead. The caucus, Boehner says, has been infiltrated by a cabal that hopes to take the US economy hostage in order to force political concessions from President Obama and Congressional Democrats. Appearing Wednesday on conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham’s,, Boehner acknowledged what every serious economic analyst has already said: that a failure to raise the debt ceiling before the August 2 deadline would be devastating to an already struggling US economy. So “why,” Ingraham asked, were...

I'm working the refreshment tent this week at the music festival in my hometown, putting in my volunteer hours for our children's school, when I realize I am not shocked by the tattoo-covered, fifty-something woman walking toward me in Daisy Duke shorts and midriff-baring bustier. Her stiletto sandals, black nail polish, pigtails and pierced, red lips donąt faze me in the least. I turn to her without blinking and smile easily as I ask, "What can I get for you?" In retrospect, it's possible this is the moment when I surrendered to the reality that our cultural decline is now...

Laura Ingraham’s baptismal cross went missing from her checked luggage at the Newark airport this weekend, and the syndicated radio host says either a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) worker or a Continental Airlines employee is responsible. Ingraham had just finished several radio and television appearance in New York City and was in a rush to the airport. She told The Daily Caller she normally carries her luggage on planes, but since she was pressed for time and was carrying copies of her new book, she checked a suitcase before her Friday evening flight from Newark to Denver.

In the far left corner, in Commie-pinko shorts with a yellow hammer and sickle in the upper left corner and that stupid circular Obama logo in the middle: The Today show's Matt Lauer. And in the far right corner, wearing a Wonder Woman-like outfit of red, white, and blue: conservative pundit Laura Ingraham.Matt: Left hook: President Obama talks about shared sacrifice. Where is the shared sacrifice going to come from on the Republican side? Laura: Ducks. Right jab to the gut: Is his shared sacrifice the fact that he canceled his Montana vacation last weekend? ... Even the Associated Press yesterday said the...

While walking through a Northern Virginia shopping mall one Saturday afternoon, it all became clear to Laura Ingraham. Everywhere she turned, she saw signs of the impending disaster: zombie teens texting each other across a café table; a man having his eyebrows threaded at a kiosk; a fiftyish woman shoe-horned into a tube top and skinny jeans; and a storefront ad featuring a Victoria Secret model spilling out of her push-up bra and into the faces of young passersby. Ingraham wondered to herself, "Is this it? Is this what our forefathers fought for? What my parents struggled for? I wonder...

Former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee had some harsh words for presidential hopeful and fellow former governor Tim Pawlenty Tuesday, telling him to give his staff the boot. In an appearance on The Laura Ingraham Show, Huckabee gave his analysis of Monday night’s CNN’s New Hampshire Republican primary debate. According to Huckabee, Pawlenty’s staff is not serving him well. “He needs to get rid of some of his consultants,” said Huckabee. “I saw this with [Mitt] Romney four years ago and I’m seeing it with Pawlenty now: over coached, over consulted. Get rid of ‘em!” Huckabee advised that the former Minnesota...

Ed Schultz “apologized” on MSNBC for calling radio host Laura Ingraham (who in contrast to Big Ed actually has listeners) a slut on his radio show. I put “apologized” in quotes because what Schultz was really apologizing for was putting his bottom rated MSNBC gig in jeopardy. Therefore, allow me to put Schultz’s “apology” in italics followed by a translation of what he really meant in the brackets: On my radio show yesterday, I used vile and inappropriate language when talking about talk show host Laura Ingraham. I am deeply sorry, and I apologize. [You bet I’m deeply sorry. I’m...

On my radio show yesterday, I used vile and inappropriate language when talking about talk show host Laura Ingraham. I am deeply sorry, and I apologize. It was wrong, uncalled for and I recognize the severity of what I said. I apologize to you, Laura and ask for your forgiveness. It doesn't matter what the circumstances were. It doesn't matter that it was on radio and I was ad libbing. none of that matters. none of that matters. What matters is what I said was terribly vile and not of the standards that I or any other person should adhere...

Finally the other shoe dropped on the Ed Schultz controversy on Wednesday. In a release from MSNBC management, the network announced it would suspend Schultz for one week without pay for remarks he made on his Tuesday radio show calling conservative talker Laura Ingraham a “right-wing slut.” However, Schultz will be permitted to address the remarks on his Wednesday television show with the suspension beginning immediately afterwards: “MSNBC management met with Ed Schultz this afternoon and accepted his offer to take one week of unpaid leave for the remarks he made yesterday on his radio program. Ed will address these...

Bye-bye, Ed Schultz. We'll especially miss your gigantic ego, unending rage and all-around delightful personality. Will Comcast tolerate this kind of behavior from one of its cable hosts, particularly on top of so many past antics? From yesterday's syndicated radio program: ED SCHULTZ (02:52): And what do the Republicans thinking about? They're not thinking about their next-door neighbor. They're just thinking about how much this is going to cost. President Obama is going to be visiting Joplin, Mo., on Sunday but you know what they're talking about, like this right-wing slut, what's her name?, Laura Ingraham? Yeah, she's a talk...

Rep. Allen West appeared on the Laura Ingraham show and said Obama displays “third world dictator-like arrogance.” West says around the 3:11 mark: What you continue to see is a third world dictator-like arrogance, that’s what I saw in that speech [by Obama] last week. And look, Laura, to borrow a phrase from Reverend Jeremiah Wright, the chickens are coming home to roost. And around 3:58: This whole talk about shared prosperity–that really gives me the goosebumps because I’m starting to believe that a community organizer is nothing but a low-level socialist agitator.

I really enjoy listening to Laura Ingraham on the radio. She has one of the few radio shows that I can listen to from start to finish. I particular enjoy the way she mixes politics, current events, and humor.Unfortunately I can only listen to her via streaming radio and I am often away from the computer during her broadcast. So why can't I listen to Laura on the radio? The answer is that I live in the Ft. Lauderdale area. The nearest station that carries her show is in West Palm Beach and the signal doesn't reach down here. The...

Former Sen. Evan Bayh (D- Ind.) appeared on the Laura Ingraham Show and admitted that Obamacare does not reduce the actual costs of health care. Bayh said: The real issue that was not addressed, Laura, that you’ve raised now, and I think appropriately, is the cost, the cost to both the government and to your listeners. We need to take steps now to get the costs of health care under control. That was not dealt with really in an aggressive way in this legislation. I think it now needs to be.

Hard to imagine many of the usual big guns of conservative talk radio off the air in a top 10 market, but Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity are still homeless after the back-to-local movement at CBS Radio’s WPHT (1210). While TRN-syndicated Ingraham and Savage, as of today, are the heart of the new lineup at Alex Langer’s 1,000-watt WFYL, licensed to King of Prussia in the western suburbs. Here is audio of Laura Ingraham talking to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich about his outreach to Hispanic voters. She specifically zeroed in on Gingrich’s support of certain aspects of the DREAM Act, which would allow the children of Illegals, who were brought here by their parents, to become American citizens if they join the military or go to college for two years. Gingrich and Ingraham got into something of a heated exchange on the issue. Their discussion moved from the DREAM Act to a broader discussion on Illegal Immigration as a whole. Gingrich said there is no way to...

First on TVNewser: Fox News Channel has signed conservative commentator Laura Ingraham to a multi-year contract extension. Ingraham serves as a fill-in host and contributor to the network, and serves as the primary guest host for Bill O’Reilly‘s 8 PM program “The O’Reilly Factor.” “I am glad Laura has re-signed with FOX,” said Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes in a statement. “She is a great talent. She’s very smart, with searing insights, and she has a terrific sense of humor.” Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed beyond the fact that it is seven-figures. Considering that Ingraham...

It’s been just over a month since Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder blew up the talk format on WTNT at 570 and turned it into an ESPN-based all-sports station. That move stranded a talk lineup that included TRN’s Laura Ingraham, Michael Savage and Jerry Doyle. Now there’s a new home for those shows and more, and it is also claiming the “WTNT” call letters, per an FCC filing. The station is WXTR at 730, licensed to Alexandria, VA. DCRTV.com reports the format change, and says it’s part of a sale from Snyder’s Red Zebra Broadcasting to Metro Radio. The new...

One of talk radio's first ladies, Laura Ingraham, believes Barack Obama was born in the United States and is a legitimate president, but suggests it wouldn't hurt him to release his original long-form birth certificate. That would, she said, be among the documents that should be available to the American public about their president, arguably the most powerful man in the world. She specifically cited his college records as among the documents still concealed by Obama, and wondered about his tenure at Occidental College. "In the interest of full disclosure, sir, could we please have those records?" she said.

The speculation about Daniel Snyder-controlled Red Zebra Broadcasting dropping talk on WTNT (570) was on the money, with the company confirming a flip to an ESPN-powered all-sports format on Monday, September 20. That would bookend Red Zebra’s existing all-sports station, WTEM (980). WTEM already carries the ESPN flag and there may be adjustments there. 570 appears to be carrying more of the ESPN Radio lineup, including Colin Cowherd, Scott Van Pelt, Doug Gottlieb and Brian Kenny. Though the morning show will be locally-familiar Steve Czaban, distributed by Sporting News Radio.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, chairman of the soi-disant Cordoba Initiative, has gotten all the attention he deserves for his astonishingly insensitive attempt to build a thirteen-story mosque and community center at the site of Ground Zero. Rauf has largely escaped attention for his efforts to build a sawed-off version of the same on the grounds of the venerable and historically Christian Chautauqua Institution in western New York State. Although the resistance to Rauf at Chautauqua has not made the news, it is deeply supported, and it is coming from both Christians and Jews. As shall be seen, the forced feeding...

What's next: Bill Clinton cutting an ad vexing David Vitter on the issue of fidelity? Of all people, Ed Schultz spent an entire segment this evening going after Chris Christie . . . about his girth. I counted no fewer than seven separate barbs that Schultz directed Christie's way over his weight. He began with a photo of the NJ Governor with the graphic "Battle of the Bulge." It got heavier from there. View video here.

Here is video of Laura Ingraham at her best! She takes on Leftist Dr. Mark Lamont Hill on Larry King Live, where Hill attacked Ingraham for daring to criticize Michelle Obama’s multi-billion dollar fitness and health initiative. Ingraham told Hill that once Michelle Obama becomes a policy advocate for the Obama Administration with cabinet secretaries following her around on the campaign trail, she has stepped into the arena of ideas which are fair game to be questioned and tested. Then, Ingraham got off a truly great line: “The Obamas are people – we’re all people. They’re not deities. They’re not...

Surge Desk brings you some of the top excerpts from "The Obama Diaries," blending Ingraham's humor, satire and social commentary. President Obama: Some things are more important than what Americans want to buy. We have to be concerned about each other and buy things that advance the common good. First Lady Michelle Obama: Honestly, I think we've done all we can for the Gulf Coast. On my way out of...

Here is audio of Laura Ingraham talking to the mother of a Texas high school student who took down a Mexican Flag in his school "because it was displayed higher" than the American Flag on "Cinco de Mayo." He then threw the flag away. Of course, that stirred up a hornet's nest. The mother said her son has been suspended for three days, and the school is doing "research" on how much he needs to pay in restitution. The mother said most students are supporting her son, but that he is also receiving "threats" from some of the students. There...

Meghan McCain spoke to students at the George Washington University on Thursday as Young America’s Foundation protesters criticized her stance on gay marriage and counter-protesters showed their support for the daughter of Arizona Senator and former presidential candidate John McCain. Bill O'Reilly and Laura Ingraham got into a bit of a tiff on Thursday night's "O'Reilly Factor" that resulted in him calling her a "blind ideologue" as well as a "Kool-aid drinker" after she asked him if he had eaten an "ACORN cookie" at the White House Christmas party earlier in the week. The spat began when O'Reilly jokingly asked Ingraham if she's going on a dinner date with Howard Dean now that he's bashing the Senate's version of ObamaCare.
