Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (Mich.), a Republican presidential candidate, called Saturday morning for Republicans and the Tea Party to stop fighting and work together to help save the country, presumably from Democratic policies, although he was not specific.
"On the right, take note," McCotter said on the House floor. "It is as unwarranted and injurious for a Republican to call a Tea Partier a hobbit as it is for a Tea Partier to call a Republican a RINO."
McCotter was referring to a comment earlier this month from Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who compared Tea Partiers to hobbits. That sparked rebukes from Tea Party sympathizers, including from Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and other Tea Party favorites. The derisive term "RINO" is an acronym for "Republican in name only."
Paul was quoted in the press saying he'd rather be a hobbit than a troll because "the hobbits were heroes" in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings series.
"We cannot unite America if we divide the movement," McCotter warned. "Consequently, the time has come for the Tea party to grow up and the Republican Party to wake up and come together to serve and save this great nation."
That is one hell of a way to start off your campaign for the US Presidency! You grow up and get a life while you are at it!

So unless McCain is part of the Tea Party, McCotter isn't telling him to "grow up." Maybe "wake up," but definitely not "grow up."

It's the GOP and the Democrats that must grow up and end their childish, immature and irrational spending.

The RINO establishment is not part of any movement, they are just hoping to be the hospice caregiver during the death of the republic. The only movements are those away from the founding principles and those returning to the principles. If you wish to return, then you can't get there fast enough. The RINOs want no movement, they just wish for thing to remain as they are, with them fat, happy and stupid. I do believe that the establishment republicans are more fearful of the tea part than the democrats. After all those on the other side of isle are their golf partners; tea party types are the reason they belong to private country clubs.

this guy just doesn’t seem to get it. We are trying to save the nation. We are not the ones threatening the fiscal health of this country, we are the ones trying to preserve it. We are right. Our cause is right. Our fight is right. Why would we give in?
