We sure need to dunk the rino’s and the commies into the toilets at the people’s house, flush it, then take a metal scrub brush and get the stink out.

Appearing in a blue collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up, he denounced Republicans for driving the car of the nation’s economy into a ditch, then standing around “sipping on a slurpee” while he’s tried to push it out.

“So this deficit comm can pass tax leg all by itself, without the House

- “And if the Congress rejects the Commission’s demands for new tax revenue, there will be a trigger that cuts both medicare funding and defense funding.

Except, the defense funding cuts will be much more massive than the medicare cuts. And the GOP, in addition to seeing defense cut, would be hacking off seniors right before an election.”

You may have meant to say"slipping on a slurpee" while trying to push it back in further.

Correct.

Looks like Redstate is resorting to a bit of demogoguery here.

The committee "will have the power to come up with new tax revenue" as they put it.

So what? They "have the power" to come up with any idea they please. It doesn't mean Congress will pass it.

And what's this about the defense cuts supposedly being more draconian than the Medicare cuts? What...do they have an "unnamed source" or something to tell them that?

—Wrong. The deal would include an automatic trigger to make the supposed cuts if Congress rejects the tax hikes.

That just puts pressure on the Committee to get something that will pass Congress.

That's good...especially when you have a majority GOP congress which is not going to vote for tax hikes.

Without a trigger, the committee likely would just jabber and never come up with anything.

Yeah, I will wait for some more analysis. Hussein is the loser here, in my first look—but it is possible Red State is right.

The best part about it is that we can get yet another round of demagoguery about how the Repubs want to take away your Medicare right before the elections...

This has been a huge win for the GOP. The RATS will continue to own the economy, they will own a coming downgrade, and we have framed a package in accordance with our terms: no tax increases and 1:1 formula.

It is now up to Pelosi to pass this slop - her president has signed off. Boehner and McConnell can let their members vote NO.
