Republicans Deny

UPDATE - McConnell spokesman Don Stewart: "The story is wrong. There is no requirement to vote for the bill. Period." Phew. One element of my qualified, tepid support for this flawed deal was a belief that strong fiscal conservatives would comprise the GOP's contingent on the joint special committee. If Hayes' initial sources had been correct, the compromise would have instantly become appreciably worse, and many conservatives would have rightly felt betrayed.

Lol! Wouldn't surprise me if McConnell sent Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, and Scott Brown.

What an inflammatory and blatantly false headline. Gotta love pundits - just make something up and print it. Jeesh.

Beware The "Super Congress" - excellent read.

McConnell sold out the country and the U.S. Constitution in
one single flush down the drain.

Excerpts:

"The creation of a 12 person elitist panel of lawmakers is absurd and is just meant to fast track more awful legislation through the Washington meat grinder."

"Legislation approved by the Super Congress -- which some on Capitol Hill are calling the "super committee" -- would then be fast-tracked through both chambers, where it couldn't be amended by simple, regular lawmakers, who'd have the ability only to cast an up or down vote. With the weight of both leaderships behind it, a product originated by the Super Congress would have a strong chance of moving through the little Congress and quickly becoming law. A Super Congress would be less accountable than the system that exists today, and would find it easier to strip the public of popular benefits. Negotiators are currently considering cutting the mortgage deduction and tax credits for retirement savings, for instance, extremely popular policies that would be difficult to slice up using the traditional legislative process."

A "RESTORE THE CONSTITUTION" Campaign should be started immediately by PRIMARYING and REMOVING all those who have SIGNED ON to this atrocity on the taxpayers of America!

First and foremost Mr. Hayes, you do not have your facts right when you stated “the so-called “supercommittee” for deficit reduction” This is in fact the supercommittee for the largest tax increase in America's history!

Second, it was you and your ilk who thought the Tea Party were being unreasonable and should just give the liberal socialist what they want until the GOP could win the next election!

Enjoy the final nail in the coffin of what we used to know as the United States of America!

You all played a role in her demise, every time you reported the debt limit has to be raised to prevent a default! Every American in their right mind knew that this Country could not default if the debt limit was not raised, but, you and your ilk continued to misreport the country was heading for a default and the Tea Party would be responsible for the defeat of the GOP next year if they did not cave!

We are not going to forget who was instrumental in the demise of this Nation!

Not every American is as stupid as you would like to think they are!Once again, it is the American people who have been played, screwed, and beaten into submission by the GOP elitist, liberal socialist, and it's the Country at large who will pay a very big price for it!

...senators who vote against the deal will be ineligible to serve on the so-called “supercommittee” for deficit reduction that the legislation creates.

So how's that "save the country and our freedoms" bill working out for you all?

J. Galt

McConnell says it's not true. Mitch McConnell: No litmus test for 'super committee'

I'd pick from Jeff Sessions, Jim DeMint, Rand Paul and Marco Rubio in the Senate.

Most Federal Office Holders embrace Keynesian quackery. Republicans need to bring the few who understand money, in Congress, into the fore, to carry the fight. This is essential, if we are to stop the systematic destruction of American wealth, which is what the Obama economic policy amounts to.

It is not just a matter of fighting him on taxes. Blocked in the effort to redistribute wealth through the tax system, the Keynesians will simply destroy it by continuing to debase the currency. The result will be confiscation via even (seemingly) low Capital Gains tax rates, and by cheapening the value of all accounts receivable. (It is very hard to succeed in business, if someone keeps devaluing your accounts receivable.)

The cut in Federal Spending has to be severe, or it won't accomplish what needs to be accomplished.

For a realistic view of what Keynesian economics are all about: Economics Of A Sociopath. To understand the underlying monetary issues: Medium of Exchange.

Americans have been put on notice--repeatedly put on notice--that Obama is a demagogue who hates American high achievers. His rhetoric, throughout his career, has demonized such. There is no excuse for not recognizing the problem, and fighting back.

Grow the TEA PARTY numbers. Make congress shake in their shoes. Clean house and save this country. Government by the people, not by the elite. To hell with the new world order, the U.N. and Islam. The Tea Party can make the U.S. great again. Photobucket

SouporCongress? I'll take the Soup.

There is no Constitutional authorization to reconstitute the Legislative Branch.

Attempting to cut Conservatives out of the process will have dire consequences. It is a direct affront to the 'next to last box'.

Ignore the electorate at your peril, RINOs!

You could be looking for a job in the economy you create.
