Well think of it this way. How bad would it have been had the House been Pelosi’s. I agree it is not great and I know there are a lot of land mines in the bill. But the victory comes not in the bill it self but in the attention that was paid to the debt. It gives the Tea Party something to run on in 2012. It gives solid footing for those that want to primary out the RINOs.

Not the solid victory I would liked to have seen, but with the number of RINOs in office - well, better the devil you see than the one you dont.

I’m glad ot see you see the benefits of this; second, you can’t have it all in anything and frankly we got something out of this. Something was hammered out and then in 2012 Obama will be wiped out and then we will be all set, no? I’m for one glad that we got what we got. Everyone now has faced taht we have a horrific level of debt and everyone in the US is fired up to do something about it. We have fully faced as a nation that we have a problem that can no longer be ignored. Like alcoholics, we are at long last facing our problems, facing that WE are the source of them and no one else.
