“It is like sticking a knife in Israel’s heart” (Honduras advocates recognition of Palestine at UN)

Ambassador Lopez stated that the head of the Honduran Armed Forces and the Defense minister are currently in Israel acquiring equipment that is needed by the institution.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras

Israel’s ambassador to Honduras said yesterday that the decision of the government of Honduras to advocate for the recognition of Palestine at the United Nations (UN) is like “sticking a knife in the heart of the people and government of Israel “.

The diplomat offered these statements from Israel to Telenoticias. It was learned that the ambassador was in his country due to “consultations” he is making with his government after learning that Honduras would support Palestine. “We do not understand a decision of this nature. Israel was the only country that supported the people and government of Honduras in 2009.

I personally spent three months in Honduras to support the people and the government. I was in the elections to endorse the people and its government. We do not understand this unilateral decision that was not even consulted with us,” he said.

Totally unbelievable. Is this coming from Mr. Lobo?

I loved the gutsy Hondurans during their elections. But I also love the State of Israel.

What is going on here?

Love me some Israel but sheesh they act like they are so weak and needy. Can’t they just be like other countries and not cry baby about everything. So what if a country does like them. This has to be the biggest cry baby country on Earth. Thank God America doesn’t act like them.

It has been demonstrated that the citizens of Honduras are freedom lovers.

The Honduran Army is in Israel to procure military hardware.

What is the reason for Honduras advocating recognition of Palestine at the UN. The people running the GAZA are terrorists, and probably friends of Obozo.

If you were Israel you would react to any new threat. They know the UN is against them.

This is simply out of character for Honduras....

I personally wouldn’t. I would just ensure that my military was prepared for anything that might cross their path. That is how they should act instead of being immature and cry about being treated badly by the bullies.

Now there's a trade mission that's going to end well.

agreed. half the world hates Israel.
now, Obama stands with the Muslims. what small country is going to support Israel, against most of the world?

i don’t see any way that Palestine doesn’t get created in Sept.

Israel has been TOO restrained. it doesn’t win any hearts and minds anyway.
“crying” ? it is the Muslims who whine and cry, and make up stuff.
and once Palestine is created, with Judea and Sumaria, Israel doesn’t have defensible borders.
if they reject the U.N., then they’ll get the P2P from Powers treatment, like Libya, but worse.
if the go along, then it’s just a matter of time, till Egypt under the Muslim Brotherhood rolls it’s 1,100 M1A1’s into it.

Apparently, the answer is no.

bullies ??

Those in Gaza are not bullies, they are terrorists. There is a difference between the two. There was not peace with Israel before the war and giving the land to the residents of Gaza will not bring peace. Bebe knows this.

Bibi is awesome! i wish our President loved his own country, as much as Bibi loves his, or even Putin loves his.

...but i sure wouldn’t want to be in his shoes, caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

in a sane world, their nucs would be a deterrent. but with enemies who love death...

in a sane world

Neither Muzzies or Commies are sane. Neither can gain or retain power without lies and compulsion. Lies and compulsion lead to mass murder of those who oppose or expose them. There is a proven track record of this.

Obozo is both. That is the part of the equation that has changed. We are no longer a deterrent to their evil with him at the helm. The world's loss.

Then you’re probably talking Armageddon....to be clear, turning that area of the world into a nuclear wasteland.

agree with you completely. Obama HAS said the Shahada.
(it’s part of the prayer he recited for the NYT reporter.)
and his own “autobiography” (that Ayers wrote), admits he’s a Marxist.

...and no other in history, is even close to those two, in number of millions killed.

That has to be the dumbest statement on a complex matter involving what probably will be our only ally in the region that I’ve seen posted on FR. Sheesh!
