With stocks plunging on Wall Street, tensions were rising in today’s White House press briefing as ABC’s Jake Tapper relentlessly demanded Press Secretary Jay Carney explain exactly what it is that President Obama is doing to help create new jobs. When Carney suggested Obama is urging Congress to pass legislation, Tapper got agitated and responded, “so the same stuff he was doing a couple months ago, calling on Congress to pass things?”Critics of Obama will no doubt applaud Tapper’s efforts here, yet even supporters of the President can’t fault Tapper for forcefully demanding answers.

Still, the Ace of Spades did call her his ideal woman. ‘Dumb as a chicken’, and not particularly good looking. He said his male ego is not such that it requires a gorgeous woman, so WS fit his bill to a tee. [Of course, he meant it all in humor. ;) ]

I agree with you that Obama is an electoral loser but because of the black vote the Dems can’t primary him. It’s almost fun to watch them squirm.
In fact I’d be willing to bet there is only one way Obama wins reelection: the Pubs nominate another gutless moron. And that’s what makes me squirm.
I’m with you in hoping the GOP eschews a RINO or otherwise gutless and unacceptable candidate. However, I believe Obama will be so unpopular by Nov ‘12 we could win even with a weak nominee. The only thing that could lose it for us is a three way race. Trump is talking about doing that, but if he doesn’t somebody else probably will. This is how a hugely unpopular Duval Patrick got a second term in MA, and he is an Obama mentor. So we know that is their plan. Let’s hope and pray it fails to materialize.
Jay Carney used to be on the political shows. Someone more savvy than myself should go to the archives and see things he said about Bush and the economy over the years.
