Texas Gov. Rick Perry : Is 2012 GOP Presidential Nod His for the Taking?
International Business Times ^ | Aug. 5, 2011 | Elisha Maldonado

Posted on 08/05/2011 8:58:07 AM PDT by Clairity

Despite having not yet announced his candidacy, many are seemingly already considering Texas Gov. Rick Perry as the man with the best chance to defeat President Barack Obama in 2012.

Under his stewardship, Perry has created more jobs than any other state in the country in recent years. The Dallas Federal Reserve estimated that all of the jobs created in the country in the two years from April 2009, a low of 37 percent (2009) to high off 48 percent (recently) were created in Texas.

Perry also supplies substance-starved citizens with a deep-rooted belief system. From the surface, his deepest views have not changed much since his early days in a cotton-farming community in Paint Creek in the 1950s.

"We believed in God, we believed in taking care of ourselves and one another, and we believed that America was the greatest nation on earth," he wrote in the preface to "Fed Up," the book he wrote last year.

Forbes has the top cities as biggest boom towns...there are 8 and Texas has 4 of them. #1 Austin, #4 San Antonio, #5 Houston, #7 Dallas, TX. This is due to Rick Perry...

Anyone who live through the early 50's remembers well the "Better Red than Dead" slogan.

Um, the slogan was Better DEAD than RED. Not surprising that you got it backwards.

I've never referred to Gov Perry as a RINO and would welcome his entrance into the race. May the best person win.

I don't know the heart and mind of Gov Palin, so you'll have to ask her about all the other stuff.

The talking points of the bots is old early with us and soon to get old early with the national electorate, who want to see and hear about the economy and jobs. Rick has ‘em and voters want ‘em. Game over.

Why? She isn’t running and we’ve moved on.

Palin was coached on foreign affairs when she was McDemocrat’s VP by the top dog globalist Henry Kissinger. She MAY have even gone to a few tri lat meetings to learn foreign affairs. No POTUS has or will ever realistically tell the UN to go pound sand it is too globally politically incorrect.

Of course I do...and I will do so even more IF he gets in the race. I was surprised when I mentioned Perry as a candidate to him and he had a negative response...What can I tell you? He doesn't like him because he feels that he (Perry) is in it for himself and NOT for Conservatives or the nation. He mentioned several reasons, not the least of which was his pro amnesty stance.

Christian Ministers all over the country are denouncing Perry as a fake Christian.

You don't say. Have you taken a poll of Christian ministers? I didn't think so. If you want to be taken seriously, you should retract that statement. It doesn't reflect well on your intelligence OR your judgment.

Grow up you post the same thing in every thread that is not Sarah Palin. You are starting to remind me of the spammer RED SOUTH that searches for Bachmann threads and spams.

You’re right, and I will try to do better. I am over excited about moving forward and not backward, or staying in neutral. Sometimes I am over zealous about that. Also, I was trained poorly by all those snark filled Palin threads. Role model thing you know. sorry.

Please explain what PerryCARE is. I live in Texas and have never heard of it, except from your posts. I would appreciate being informed, since apparently I’m totally clueless.

I suppose it is just getting real old the old spin of Palinista’s was ALL OF THE TX FReepers say Perry is an evil RINO NWO builaburger trilat democrat. Then I started to notice it was just their ping list of Palin only supporters and have read many TX FReepers speak well and support Perry.

Many people I know who aren't big Perry fans, including myself, are excited about him running for POTUS because he will beat Obama...and that is the most important thing! Our way of life depends on it, IMO.

It's often said that Perry is always elected because he is the "least of two evils," proving there are a lot worse than Perry.

So WHY, of all the possibilities, would we WANT to get into another “best of the worst” election scenarios? I just don't get it...

NO MORE RINOs! PERIOD! I don't give a ‘Rat's ASS where they hail from or what their pedigree is.....

NO MORE FREEKIN’ RINOS! And how come it's always the same excuse....he/she could WIN.....some angle from heaven whisper in your (collectively) ears? HOGWASH!

Better Red than Dead

Just a few places where I was accurate, Not to mention it was different in many places. I lived in Oklahoma and sad to say there were many Communists there, generated by the Unions, when they organized the Lead and Zinc mines, during WW II.

A significant component of the palin(tm) machine is the possibility that she might run. Take that away and her market value drops.

OK this assumes that she lacks character and is only a money grubbing witch.

Try this...

I am sure wtc911 is currently not addicted to porn, and does not consort with pedophiles.

What did I say that is not true?
