My feelings exactly. Why are we wasting precious American blood on a bunch of savages (both inside and outside the Afghan government) who don't want us there? We can't stay forever, and whenever we do pull out, they'll just go back to an islamist government anyway. All we're doing right now is delaying the inevitable.

Sadly a lucky placement with ah heavy machine gun can bring any helo down. Small arms ground fire is a problem in insertions. Remember Helos aren't even suppose to fly. One with two rotors is twice as bad. I live close to a base with Chinooks stationed at it. They are big and slow. One from this unit was shot down a few years ago with the loss of the crew. Hit us hard here, I would previously see them at the local eatery on a regular basis.

I was watching the showtime series (reruns ) of the Borgia’s last night. A cardinal was asking the king of France to move militarily on Italy, especially Rome.

The French King talked about war saying “ War is ugly, are you sure you want me to do that? War is about power against power, not some knights riding on pretty horses jousting and then going home. Its about one side destroying the other side, bringing them to destruction and either completly wiping them out or gaining total power over them.”

Since when did we start going to “war” with ROE? That is a lost cause. And especially with these mideval Muslims...they only understand power..

Let our military fight with Street Rules and fight a “WAR” and we will win! Dresden and Hiroshima were leveled. No ROE’s then.

The state-run media, by not referring to them as US military, is also seeking to divert attention to that fact, to cover Obammie the Commie’s bony ass.

I think it is also the left's attempt to portray our troops as nothing special by lumping them into one world "NATO" forces, rather than I.D. them as US troops.
