EDITORIAL: Obama’s downgraded America
The Washington Times ^ | August 6, 2011 | Editorial

Posted on 08/06/2011 8:32:34 PM PDT by jazusamo

S&P tells it like it is: the U.S. is out of money

The Obama administration has made history by presiding over the first-ever downgrade in the U.S. credit rating. President Obama has outdone all his predecessors in wrecking America’s good name. His answer to this problem: Spend even more.

Raising the debt ceiling was sold as a way of guaranteeing the U.S. credit rating. It had the opposite effect, which makes sense to anyone who understands credit. Take a family with a median household income around $50,000. If they spend $85,000 a year and have debt at $300,000 and growing, it’d be foolish to let them borrow more because they don’t have the income to pay it back. Raising the debt ceiling ignored this reality. Then, the Obama administration immediately demonstrated its utter lack of creditworthiness by blowing 60 percent of the initial $400 billion increase in one day, the largest single-day accumulation of debt in U.S. history.

The White House blames the George W. Bush administration for every economic woe, but the numbers speak for themselves. In 2008, the federal budget deficit was around 3 percent of gross domestic product. In 2011, it’s around 11 percent. Total federal debt was $10.7 trillion at the end of 2008 and is currently $14.3 trillion. Debt as a percentage of GDP was a painful 69 percent at the end of the Bush years, but Mr. Obama is pushing it over 100 percent...

Barry Hussein Soetoro Obama is a complete disaster. His goal has always been to destroy America, and he’s succeeding beyond his wildest dreams thanks to the ineptitude and cowardice of Boehner and the other Republicans in Congress. Hussein Obama is only doing what George Soros is telling him to do via the teleprompter: party with your homies while you destroy America’s financial system, leaving us ripe to be taken over by the UN and made into slaves. The economic problems of the US will only worsen, until the point where Obama can declare martial law “until the crisis is over” and firmly plant the jackboot of the federal government on the throat of the serfs. We should stop worrying about how to win the election of 2012, and start concentrating on the real task. When federal troops march into our cities to disarm us, will we fight back, or will we march passively into permanent slavery? The time to make that decision is coming fast.

I seem to recall Obama saying that what ever happened on Bush's "watch" was Bush's responsibility. Or something to that effect.

Obama's plan for this family: steal the money from their "rich" uncle who worked hard to earn a decent income, so the family could continue to spend money it didn't have.

We’re to the point now where martial law is almost neccessary in the cities like it was during Tet.

____________________________________

I just have a feeling in my gut she’s going to run. I think she’s biding her time waiting for the last of these frivolous law suits to go null and void.

I believe in private conversations, the Left know they fu*ked up big time in trying to destroy her early on. They tried smears against Palin and her family...they failed. They tried all manner of bogus lawsuits...they failed. They tried releasing her e-mails in hopes that they’d find some smoking gun...they failed.

The Left has done to Palin what they never did to the Ghetto Trash that currently occupies the Oval Office; they completely, fully, and with zeal vetted her. They’ve (God) has made her stronger that we could’ve ever hoped for. I just know the Left (and Obama) are scared sh*tless she’s going to run. Fullout attacks on Palin now will simply make the Left look like the deranged A$$holes everybody knows they are.

Plus the more Obama runs the economy into the ground even the moderates will vote for Sarah over the current idiot in office. And she’ll have huge coat tails.

We can’t squander this opportunity to get a real conservative in office because it’s going to take some real leadership to fix the crap of the past 2 decades.

Carter gave us Reagan. Obama will give us Palin.

Indeed!

I’m waiting for the proverbial: “Nope...this is just what Obama wants...chaos. Hw wants an uprising.”

Here’s the little fact that many people leave out about Marxists loving and needing chaos; THEY HAVE TO BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE CHAOS. To those who doubt me, just go to youTube and watch all the clips from the 1989 Revolution in Romania. No, I’m not saying these uprisings are always positive, but this idea that all chaos or uprisings are made to order for the dictators is pure folly.

I’ve posted this before, but watch Ceausescu’s face at 0:48. It was at this precise moment that he knew he lost his power...HE COULDN’T CONTROL THE CHAOS!

The other thing i love about Sarah, is that she sees the other greatest enemy we face: RINOs in positions of leadership like Boehner and McConnell. I hope she nails these two useless bastards (and all other RINO POS) to the wall for their stupidity, and their enabling of the Left and Obama.

Have you watched any of her recent interviews? Good grief, this woman is on fire. I’d love to watch her feed the Kenyan his lunch in a live dabate. I want to see Obama completely meltdown on live TV.

Again, as I mentioned earlier...this won’t work anymore. The Libs will attempt it, but they’re going to be viewed as completely unhinged. Think about it, they’ll try going after any jot and tittle of mispeak that happens with Palin. This is going to make them look desperate. And there will be plenty of commercials showing the Ghetto POS mispeaking for the past four years.

The Libs have actually helped make Palin strong. Future attacks will only make Palin stronger.

They’ve (God) has made her stronger that we could’ve ever hoped for.

I think she may, depending on how far the Chicago Boys and NDP/Neo-Stalinists want to push it, end up suffering all the slings that Aung San Suu Kyi has sustained in her campaign to recover Burmese freedom.

This isn't a dictatorship yet, but a strong challenge from Palin will tempt Obama sorely to try to crush the Tea Party with martial law.

Absolutely correct.

Many people do not understand that every move, decision and lack of leadership direction is based upon the myriads of ways to sabotage America.

Obama has indeed been spectacularly successful at implementing everything of the Cloward and Piven strategy to deconstruct America.

This is the legacy of Obama, and the people are still loving him for it.

The reason for America’s credit access has been its job machine..which has always ensured a steady tax revenue

Nobody in DC wants to correlate the rising debt ceiling with declining jobs.

The rising debt ceiling has two consequences....

more regulation ...

to occupy employees in expanding federal bureaucracies...which expand because “they have more money” and another layer of bureaucrats need their 20 year promotions... Each round of regulatory expansion is the effective equivalent of another targeted tax increase on the object of the regulation.

more taxes...

The rising debt ceiling has demands and expectations of creditors for new elements of “revenue raising” by the Feds...taxes or fees.

In this strangling environment job creation is simply NOT possible.

In fact the only logical conclusion..can be ..is that the Federal apparatus -initially an asset to the United States..by virtue of its abilities to raise an effective Navy in the late 1700’s, and early 1800’s to facilitate overseas trade on behalf of the States, has become nothing other than the States greatest liability at this point in time. In the absence of profound regulatory and taxation reform-which is not capable of coming from the same minds that created the problem..we may well be at the end of the line.

For DC to face this fact...means the end of the K St-Congressional Party cycle in DC-the one that keeps repeating “2.4Trillion” as their mantra.

IMHO...the only solution is a 50 state secession from DC at this point...with a completely new “Constitutional Re-Federalization”..

Well, at this points, all bets are off, and Obama will be seen as an unConstitutional leader unfit for office...and he will be removed. You see, lawlessness begets lawlessness, and unless the Kenyan has a Civilian Force to enforce his decrees, he’s out of luck. There’s also the small matter of geting all of the military to go along with him.
