MoveOn.org drives new liberal catch phrase: ‘Tea party downgrade’ Matthew Boyle - The Daily Caller 43 mins ago

The left-wing activist group MoveOn.org picked up the new liberal slogan bashing conservatives for Standard & Poor’s U.S. credit rating downgrade: “Tea Party downgrade.” President Obama’s chief campaign strategist David Axelrod and Massachusetts Democratic Sen. John Kerry both used the phrase on Sunday talk shows.

In a Sunday afternoon email to supporters, MoveOn.org accused tea partiers of being responsible for the first-ever credit downgrade in U.S. history. “This ‘tea party downgrade’ is a shameful blow to our nation’s honor and risks throwing us right back into recession,” Moveon.org wrote. “Worst of all? It was completely avoidable. But when given the choice between extremist posturing and responsible leadership, tea party Republicans chose wrong.” (RELATED: Axelrod: ‘This is essentially a tea party downgrade’)

MoveOn.org added that “now, amazingly, they’re trying to pin the blame on Democrats.”

Senator John Kerry just referred to the treasury downgrade as a “tea party downgrade”. Now let's see if any Republicans call him on it?

I see your point and agree. I paid the price in 2008 when I lost my career in commercial real estate.

Most parents let a child wear a bandage for a short while. We then tell them to leave the bandage off so the fresh air can help the wound heal.

The material, spiritual, and social wounds inflicted on this country may well lead to physical confrontation because the left will not go quietly. We will need to throw them out overwhelmingly by ballot box or they’ll sabotage any overture of civility/will of the people. Think Wisconsin.

I’ve already lost many long time friends over their support of liberals and inability to accept my conservatism. Game on!!!

The ultimate tea party "downgrade":

"I wish it were possible to obtain a single amendment to our Constitution ... taking from the federal government their power of borrowing."

-- Thomas Jefferson (Letter of November 26th, 1798)

And in this case, the “establishment” Republicans would like nothing more than to see the TEA party discredited. It’s a threat to their power just as much as it is to the ‘rats’ power.

“anti tea party hysteria”

My hometown newspaper had a Sunday op-ed by Democratic party Ministry of Truth (`minitru’) columnist Martin Schramm.
He cited lefty lick-spittle, John McCain, and made sure he mentioned that Juan is a Republican and a conservative, several times, and that he had no love for the tea party.

We’re going to butter their neck-ties ....

If they a trying to blame the the tea party why was Obama celebrating his 22 trillion dollar deficit at one of MO’s favorite burger joints?

The T.E.A. Party did not spend money it did not have!

The T.E.A. Party is not respondible for:

The National Debt has continued to increase an average of $3.95 billion per day since September 28, 2007!

If this is what Obama is trying to spin today tomorrow we will be downgraded again and we will crash. What part of his partisan hackery has to end and he needs to lead does he not get? He just does not care does he? Impeachment hearings time he is endangering this country. As soon as impeachment hearings is serious the markets will stabilize.

Frankly I’m a little tired of the focus on Tea Party for all that ails us. It has had members in Congress for seven months, and it’s already blamed for what has taken place over the last 40 years. Give me a fricken break.

Come and talk to me about the Tea Party, when the Crapachino Party (D) has answered for all it has done since the 1960s.

As for the Mud flavored La De Da Grande (R), it makes me sick to my stomach.

The one key aspect of the Tea Party for me, is if it goes after massive cuts in the military. If it does, it will be evident to me that the Tea Party is nothing more than the Libertarian Party with some innocent victims mixed in.

Folks, the military is at most responsible for 10% of the current budget deficit. Why is it being talked about first?

Keep your eyes and minds open. There’s a good chance we’re being hoodwinked. I’m not saying that for sure, but you must be vigilant.

“I’ve already lost many long time friends over their support of liberals and inability to accept my conservatism. Game on!!!”

Let them rot.

I have long since cut ties with all the libs in my life. Friends, family, all of them. Some tell me I’m nuts. I tell them that I have far less stress and grief in my life than ever before. IMO ‘family’ has nothing at all to do with ‘blood.’ It’s all about people who you care for and care for you in return. Anyone else is simply contributing to the problem.

Not many people will willingly go that route. So be it, but those who have know exactly what I’m talking about. No, my life is FAR from perfect, but by not complicating it with idiotic people who willingly refuse to see reality for what it is and work against everything I believe in, I think I’m much better off.

When the grief really comes down, and it will, those liberals will not think twice about stabbing you in the back...figuratively and literally. “Family” included. Better to get that sorted before it comes to that.
