Outsiders spend millions on Wisconsin recall elections
Daily Caller ^ | 8/9/11 | Alexis Levinson

In Wisconsin, six Republican state senators face recalls on Tuesday. And outside groups have sent enormous sums of money into the state in preparation. Local races rarely receive this much attention or this much out-of-state funding, but both liberal and conservative advocacy groups have decided there’s enough at stake to prompt a tidal wave of outside support. ABC News reports that non-Wisconsin organizations have poured $25 million into the races so far. That figure came from the nonpartisan Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, which estimates that candidates

Why is there no news on today's election?

Is the turnout big? Are the unions up to their slimy tricks? Are homeless people being bussed in to the polls?

We need to pray for Wisconsin like we have never prayed before. I now live in MN, but my hometown is Menomonie, WI, which is the county seat for Dunn County and right in the middle of Sheila Harsdorf's district. Unfortunately we have Univ of WI-Stout, PLUS UW-Eau Claire and I think UW-River Falls, all heavily liberal socialist demoRAT universities. As I was in Menomonie, WI this weekend (I go there every weekend to help my sister care for my elderly 94 yr old faher and to take care of his place in the country).... anyway the Shelly Moore(D) yard signs seem to outnumber the Sheila Harsdorf(R) signs by 3 or 4 to 1. And 95% of the local newspaper rag Dunn County News is filled with articles full of lies & distortions against Sheila Harsdorf and promoting the virtues of a radical leftie commie pig union bastard Shelly Moore. Early in her campaign, she was using her Ellsworth school district internet address to promote her campaign and blatantly stated that she did not care if it was wrong or not, since "Walker & the GOP were taking away their rights" or some bullcrap like this.

If you know of any friedns or relatives in WI and they are conservatives, we need EVERY person who voted GOP in the last election to get out and vote and take someone with them. Or to coin the demoRATs, we need to vote early & vote often. I think there will be rampant voter fraud by the union bastards, primarily the teacher unions. They are socialist RAT bastards.

We need to pray for Sheila Harsdorf to overcome these blatant lies & smears, as well as victory for every one of the GOP recall elections -- there are six of them. AND we need to pray for victory in the 2 remaining recall elections against the dimturd bastards who fled the state in Feb. There has already been one recall election against a third demoTURD, and he won by a 2/3 to 1/3 margin.... Incredible. The GOP senators do the job they were elected to do, the demoRATs flee the state, and they appear to be getting rewarded for their violation of their oaths of office.

If the WI voters end up recalling the GOP senators or at least some of them, and if the recall elections against the dimturds are unsuccessful, then God help us! What a travesty this will be. This will become the demoRATs & unions main weapon to use recalls against state GOP legislators. Also they are using this to prime the pending recall against Walker in January, after he has served for one year. The demoRATs & unions have virtually unlimited financial resources and with 4-5 phone calls can get 60-70,000 union protesters at the drop of a hat. We need to defeat these commie union pigs or it will be a very ominous sign that the unions, especially the public sector unions and the SEIU in fact do control and run the country as well as the states. I hate these union bastards & demoRATS with a passion. Pray that God will inspire the GOP voters to get out & vote, like they have never done before!

Local radio host and conservative warrior Vicki McKenna, is taking calls this morning from those who have been to the polls to vote.

(She broadcasts from WISN 1130am Milwaukee in the morning and from WIBA 1310am Madison in the afternoon.)

Vicki’s callers report high turnout at the polls.
As high as the 2008 elections. In the 50 percent of possible voter range.

In Alberta Darling’s district, the caller was asked if she thought her fellow voters were mostly repubs for Alberta and she said yes.

Hi RCR....I love UW Stout, just graduated my daughter from there and she is already gainfully employed. That is a great school, we need more universities like it, very specialized majors meeting market needs. Not sure how anyone could live there it really is out in the woods!

We have worked hard on the Hopper recall campaign and we'll see what happens. The amount of union money poured into unseating him is stunning! The whole country is watching today to see if this is the campaign model for 2012. Let's pray the silent majority shows up today. For all you folks from outside Wisconsin these recall elections are very odd....very low level of undecideds and the more the dems lie in their ads, the more pissed voters are getting.

Kapanke will lose. It would be a shock if he held.

Hopper is 50/50.

Reports from strong Darling districts is turnouts verging on Presidential percentages.

High turnout means better for us!

If these GOPers today and Gov Walker next year are defeated in recalls, WI`s economic recovery and job growth are history. WI FReepers, have the Repubs been highlighting the 40k new jobs generated since Walker came to office? Have they countered union lies about draining school funds?

I don’t think this can be the model for 2012. Theres no way they can afford it. This is a line in the sand for them.

Whatever happens rest assured that Governor Daniels and his folks in Indiana are doing whatever they can to assist businesses in relocating from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio to Indiana.

BTW, Indiana was the only core Midwestern state that did not lose a Representative in the latest redistricting. They held their own in population growth compared to the rest of the country.

Daniels also brought fiscal sanity to the state's budget.

A few questions, kind sir..

1. What time do the polls close?

2. Was there early voting? If so, what kind of turn out?

3. Were there absentee (mail) ballott?

4. Was anything done for military voters?

Thanks

No amount of money will buy this election, especially, the communist who are behind the recalls!

The good people of WI have already spoke just a few months ago and elected those conservative who they wanted to turn around the communist ship in WI. Now, the communist unionistas want to force a change by fiat through recalls. This is simply sour grapes and the communist believe that the more money they pure into the State, the more vote they can purchase by hook or by crook!

The people of WI are not that gullible or that stupid as the communist believe they are and the latest “black flash mobs” attacking white (voters) certainly did not help the communist cause de jure!

Regarding your questions;
1.) Polls will close at 8PM CST
2.) Early voting is by absentee ballots, or you could stop in your town hall and vote. I know where your going with this, voter fraud has been a hugh issue here. Today I was asked for my drivers license and they held it and watched as I signed my name in the book, I was impressed!
3.) Yes you could request absentee ballots up till last week however they must be mailed with today postmark
4.) I suspect nothing was done on the military vote.

The only good news is voting about one hour ago at the Algoma town hall, I was number 575, which is a very high turnout number for a non-presidential election year. High turnout would mean the silent majority is out in mass. I hear turnout is up all over the state.

I have noticed that the lame stream media tends to reduce their reporting when it appears that the conservatives are polling ahead of the libs.

This way the LSM, if the libs lose, can say, “nothing to see here move on”.......

As will Governor McDonnell and his team here in Virginia. They're aggressively reaching out to businesses nationwide who find themselves languishing in blue state hell, to which apparently the libs in WI would their state to return. The light of economic freedom has shone brightly in WI for the past 8 months. Let's hope the enemy doesn't snuff it out.
