One of my closest friends, "Gail," lives in a pristine suburb in northern New Jersey. It's one of those leafy bedroom communities where residents drive their Lexus SUVs to the railroad station each morning to catch the train to Manhattan.
After 9/11, Gail told me that eerily, several vehicles were left abandoned in the parking lot for weeks. Their drivers never returned home that day to retrieve them.
But, in general, not much goes on in her sleepy, idyllic town. The residents rave about shopping sprees to Loehmanns and sprints to Whole Foods for organic strawberries. There is no crime to speak of; the local paper blares news about a recent traffic accident or the opening of a Trader Joe's. So when Gail told me what happened to her son, I was absolutely dumbfounded.
As for Gail, like my former self, she's a staunch supporter of the Democratic Party. This isn't surprising given that she's a born-and-raised East Coast Jew. But, unlike the former me, Gail is a liberal, not a self-proclaimed progressive/leftist.
While many conservatives merge liberalism and leftism, there are huge differences between the two camps. Liberals, like Gail, want a kinder and gentler America. They choose safe, suburban suburbs, with schools that (as of yet) do not radicalize their children. While it's the rare liberal who would display a flag on July 4, he still cares about this country, supports Israel, and is wary of radical Islam.

This Robin thinks that these mobs are a result of Obama. She’s dreaming. The mobs are a result of how Democrats and liberals operate, period. Before Obama, you had union thugs in Philly beating up people who protested against Ed Rendell. You had “progressives” violently protesting at international trade conferences. The list goes on and on. Libs use violence as a tactic to get what they want. These black mobs attacking liberal white kids in what white libs thought were safe areas is just another symptom of societal decay. Its a result of the system they set up. A Welfare State —which is a form of robbery — and the culture of entitlement it creates, and the idea that its OK to achieve it by any means.

For instance, before I read this article, I had no idea that ANYTHING in northern New Jersey, much less a suburb, could be described as ‘pristine’...

She sounds here like Dennis Prager, with his line about liberals just wanting "equality" for all. Sorry, it doesn't fly. Gail has her son in a nice, safe school (she thinks), but she votes against vouchers, so parents who can't afford to live in Whiteville can't choose a safe school for their children.
She's upset about what happened to her son, but she'll vote for the Democrat in 2012, because Republicans are bad, scary people who might ... well, she doesn't know what they might, exactly, except that it's very bad and scary.
Maybe the son will live in reality some day, though.
She did? I did not notice that.

As far as I know only white people have held power in Britain.
Granted, most of these ‘leaders’ are left or far left-wing but they have no real hatred for their country. What they do have is a plethora of misguided ideas and policies. They imagine that paying people not to work, not to learn and not to obey the law represents ‘compassion’ and will somehow produce a genteel, grateful society. Instead we’ve had three days of wanton lawlessness.

only redistributing the wealth. Sound familiar?

That's what I thought. She puts too much emphesis on this one man and loses her credibility. It's Socialism and their methods; one needs only to study history to learn how brutal they are.
She voted for him, even though I tried and tried in vain to wake her up to the truth. I myself voted for Hillary until the ascent of Obama snapped me out of my lifetime progressive trance.
I know a couple that had the exact same experience. It does happen. People do wake up.

Could be a way of coding the source of the story so it can be traced as it spreads on the internet.
You are right. This Gail (and Robin, for that matter) sound like classic Limousine Liberals. They live in nice safe communities and vote for liberal candidates and policies to make themselves feel good without having to deal with the consequences. Now they are shocked and confused when the consequences finally show up in their neighborhoods.

The man is creepy and menacing, and I think because of him the left is getting bolder about showing its violent side.
He has set back race relations 50 years.
Patrick Moynihan.
He was the last of the great patriotic liberals.
Since him, no other patriot in the liberal wing of the Democrat party has been elected to congress.
Patriotism is what I believe is #1 criteria to elect a person to serve in congress or POTUS.
I am willing to give a true patriot the benefit of the doubt, like Moynihan, as he is thinking of his country first and himself second.
