Good for them. I hope all of the state Anti-Competition Commissioners (I mean Insurance Commissioners) don’t make it too hard.
If only they could offer 1 set of packages across the entire country. That would be some health insurance reform I can get behind.
They are cheaper because you see nurse practitioners instead of doctors. They do they cheap lab tests right there, such as strep throat, influenza, blood sugar. They can prescribe basic antibiotics and some drugs.
For the low end 80% of doctor’s visits, they are good enough.
They can’t do stitches, follow up on a child’s growth, handle complex issues.
Do they do physicals?
All new policies sold are required to pay for physicals as per new Obamacare regs.
Cool, I can buy coke, coffee and stop by the doctor’s office (s/)
School physicals, yes. However, I don’t know if their visits are adequate for employer screenings.
Walmart has opened some independent clinics affiliated with their stores, though it isn’t wide spread.

I can guarantee you one thing: it will be better than anything run by the gummint.
The fact that they’re Chicago-based raises a huge red flag for me.
Remember the McDonalds Job fair?
The Baraqqis may have been poor students in regular college, but they were honor students in the Chicago School of Political Corruption.
