A new video of Philadelphia street attacks has surfaced—and this time the teen perps are students from a charter school that received a $1 million donation from Oprah Winfrey, according to Fox 29, which obtained the footage.

The incident occurred July 29—the same day flash mob attacks took place in another section of the city—just blocks from Mastery Charter High School. Students in the video face expulsion or suspension, school officials wrote in a letter to residents in the area where the attack took place.
Sources told Fox 29 that man attacked in the video was hospitalized with injuries to his head and teeth. No charges have been filed so far, police told Fox 29.
“It makes me sick,” said Mastery CEO Scott Gordon.”We’re very very upset about it, that any student, but particularly a student that’s been in a Mastery school, would behave like that, to think that that’s okay, is very disturbing.”
Mastery’s parent company received $1 million from Winfrey last September as part of her Angel Network.
“I was thinking of allowing the moms to have the phones for medical emergencies, etc.”
I could see maybe giving them a phone that can only call 911. I do not think that I should be forced to pay for any freeloader to make their routine personal calls.
At one point in my career, my secretary shared an office with the welfare secretary. One day the welfare secretary decided enough was enough and quit. She'd figured out that they were getting more in free dollars than she was working.

...the people of Philly who actually go vote evidently like what is going on because they send the same old people to the city government time after time.
I bet that this behavior from the youts has been going on for decades too....the only difference being it was blacks assaulting blacks.
Everybody knew but never said anything about it and up to now, no city council person or Mayor ever addressed the problem, or maybe even refused to recognize that there was a problem.
We can hope that Mayor Nutter's admonishments will start a change...
..but I am not going to hold my breath waiting for his words to penetrate the youts skulls.
...nothing will change until the welfare system is changed so that people on welfare lose their "right" to vote. A small step would be a requirement that people have to show that they are paying something into the system...
..that they have some "skin in the game"....
...otherwise, they will vote every time for the politician who promises them the most stuff.
Throwing money at problems doesn't work. You can't polish a turd.

Didn’t go to the link about Nutter but heard parts of his Aug 7 “sermon” at his church on KYW 1060 the Monday after; he blistered the behavior of the mobs and of the parents who allow their children to behave this way.
My daughter works at a nursing home and many of the CNAs work long enough to qualify for unemployment benefits, then quit to get unemployment. I always thought if you quit, you would not receive benefits, but my daughter assures me it happens.
Waiting for the liberal Democrats to make a statement of how much the taxpayers' trillions have done for Lyndon Johnson's "ingrate society" and the "war on poverty". Waiting.... waiting.... crickets....
